My name is Marlee and I'm 22 years old. After graduating I went for almost 2 years to west- and east- african countries. I volunteered at different places, did couchsurfing a lot and just went with the flow. It was the best time I ever had:) When I came back to Germany last summer, I started studying psychology. Now in my summerbreak I can´t wait to start traveling again!
I love to get to know new cultures and to meet new people.
I'm open minded and love to learn new things. I have a lot of patience and empathy.
I like to spend time with people but I also like to take time to relax on my own.
I'm very passionate about sports, to do something with children, to take care of animals and to be in nature.

I did several internships for example at a kindergarten, a school, a retirement home, a farm and a fitness center. I also volunteered at a turtle rescue center, worked in a restaurant and supported disabled people in their every day life.
I'm hardworking and always do my best to achieve goal.
I love doing sports, to draw, to cook, to play and to do things with children and to take care of them, to take care of animals, etc..
I'm willing to help out in any way that is needed.

Hey everyone:)
My plan is to start my travels in Ghana around the middle of august. From there on I want to go along the coast all the way to Nigeria. I have about 7 weeks in total and will just see how far I come:) When you have similar plans or would like to travel together for some time let me know:)
That's my rough plan, but if someone wants to join me and has something else in mind I am also opend for new ideas and different plans!

The short period with Marlee was remarkable....
She even taught our students a poem, which was recited in a german langauge during thier graduation.

I had a really good time at the school. I stayed for almost a month, right before the school ended the term. I was allowed to help to supervise the exams, go to classes from time to time and to take part in the graduation. We stayed at Malaika school for 2 weeks and we really enjoyed our stay there. It's the perfect place to experience the Zambian culture and the rural life. Everyone is very friendly and the kids love to spend time with you. We already miss everyone :) We can only recommend to go there, it's a great experience, thanks a lot! :)
