We are a couple of experienced travellers looking for opportunities to explore new places and revisit familiar ones at a slower pace.
Currently based in London, we have lived in the US and Argentina separately, and for over a decade in Italy together.
Alan grew up in a small farm in Shropshire and is an architect with a keen interest in sustainability, a love of designing, building, making and repairing, as well as experience of managing a resident’s association and community activism.
Marina was born in Italy and moved to the UK as a teenager. She has a background in social anthropology and is an experienced researcher, book editor, exhibition organiser, translator and project manager.
We are fit and active and like hiking, cycling and skiing. We also love cooking, gardening and are interested in all forms of art.
As our children are now living independently and we approach retirement, we are looking to take more time off, meet new people, and take on new challenges.
For over a decade, before the pandemic, we were part of a home exchange network. We'd like to take that experience to the next level and exchange more than our home.
