Hey! We’re Maren (20) and Clara (19)—two friends from Germany. Last summer, we graduated from school, and now we finally made our long-held dream come true: travelling together. Over the past three years, we often talked about travelling after graduation, and the closer we got to finishing school, the more certain we became that we really wanted to do it.

We prepared and organiued everything over the last few months, and at the beginning of this year, we finally started travelling.

We just spent a month living in Spain. Half of that time we worked at a guest house, helping with cleaning and preparing food for the guests. We did that through Worldpackers, so we don’t have any references on here. We really enjoyed that work, but we would love to work in other areas as well.

While traveling, we want to meet inspiring people, experience new cultures, and learn new languages – but most of all, we’d love to share genuine moments with the people we meet along the way. We’re both curious, open-minded, and always ready to try something new. Whether it’s helping out on a farm, joining a family project, or learning a new skill, we’re excited to get involved and give our best.

We see this journey as a chance to step out of our comfort zones, grow as individuals, and create memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.

We love being outdoors - doing sports, practicing yoga, or going on walks. When we're not outside, we enjoy being creative - painting, drawing, or making music.


a little bit more about ourselves...

Clara
Creativity is a central part of my life. I love painting, and exploring different kinds of crafts. Reading is another great passion of mine. I enjoy all kinds of books — from novels and inspiring biographies to thought-provoking nonfiction about feminism. I also love practicing yoga and meditation, which help me stay grounded and connected to myself. And I grew up surrounded by animals, which taught me compassion and a deep appreciation for nature.


Maren

From a young age, I have always been a very creative person. I loved drawing, playing the piano, and expressing myself artistically from early on. For eleven years, I practiced ballet and later took up yoga, which made movement, music, and expression essential parts of my life. I love being active and finding ways to express myself both physically and creatively.
I grew up surrounded by many people and animals — especially my dog, Amy, who accompanies me every day. These experiences have taught me patience, a strong sense of responsibility, and empathy.

We’re eager to improve our English and pick up a few words and phrases in other languages as well. In exchange, we’d be happy to teach some German expressions and share a bit of our language and culture.

We are two curious and motivated people who love learning new things and aren’t afraid to try something different. We grew up with animals and enjoy taking care of them responsibly. We also have a bit of experience with kids and love spending time with them. Being reliable, working well in a team, and taking initiative come naturally to us, and we approach every task with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
