Hello Everyone!

My name is Mara, I’m 22 years old and currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences. I have a few months off before starting my master’s, and I can’t think of a better way to spend them than by traveling and experiencing life in Canada.

I am an openminded person who enjoys working with other people as well as all kinds of animals. I love being out in nature and don't mind bad weather or hard work.

I've been working part-time on an organic farm for the past year, where I've gained experience with pigs (sows and fattening pigs), broiler chickens and laying hens. I've also done some tractoring, though my experience is mostly limited to cultivating. I don't have a lot of experience in working with cattle, but I'm motivated and eager to learn!

I am not a pro rider, but I'd say I am decent and have some years of experience with horses under my belt. I've mostly ridden english, but I've recently started getting western lessons after a break from riding.

In terms of practical skills, I’m fluent in English, I have a driver’s license, and I hold a Canadian working holiday visa with a valid work permit.

I'm excited to see what the Canada has in store for me!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have been riding since I was a child, which lead to me working at a horse camp during the summer holidays. There I worked as a supervisor/camp counsellor within a team of other young women like me. We cared for children and teenagers between the age of 6 and 18, helped them with taking care of their horses, supervised riding time and lead trail rides.

During my job at the pig farm I've gathered skills like vaccinating and tagging piglets, assisting during farrowing, driving a small wheel loader and driving a tractor (still develpoping my skills there!)

Before my Job at the farm I worked in a bakery/café and a restaurant, so I also have experience regarding costumer service, working cash registers etc.

Also of course miscellaneous household chorses, cooking, cleaning, garden work etc.

I love going out for long walks/hiking,I like reading and even sometimes write myself, but I also enjoy going out and having fun sometimes! I recently started playing DnD with some friends, I also enjoy card- or boardgame nights. In general I am open for anything!
