Hello, my name is Maja, I’m a 29 year old travel enthusiast from Germany.
I love traveling and I’m always curious about discovering new places, cultures, and connecting with people from all walks of life. I am a very animal-loving person, I have a wonderful dog at home in Germany and looked after all sorts of animals in my life and other Workaway projects.
I work as a physiotherapist and I’m also a yoga and Pilates teacher. Working with people brings me a lot of joy, and I’m known for being empathetic, open-minded, responsible, and positive. I’m well organized, reliable, and I approach tasks with care and commitment.
I’m a quick learner and I adapt easily to new environments and responsibilities. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I’m happy to help wherever support is needed — whether that’s physical work, daily routines, or creative and people-centered tasks.
I feel deeply connected to nature and value a mindful, healthy lifestyle. What matters most to me when volunteering is truly experiencing the local way of life, being part of everyday life, and building genuine, meaningful connections.

I have previously volunteered at an eco lodge in Costa Rica and spent time on a horse ranch in Mexico, where I supported daily operations, cared for animals, worked in the garden, and assisted with a variety of hands-on tasks. I enjoy practical work, outdoor activities, and contributing wherever help is needed.
My professional background in physiotherapy as well as yoga and Pilates instruction has given me strong people skills and experience working with individuals of different ages, needs, and personalities. I am attentive, adaptable, dependable, and able to integrate smoothly into new roles and environments.
