Dear reader,
I am Maila, a curious traveller, a nature lover, and a university student.
I love learning about new cultures while travelling and trying to experience a country as authentically as possible.
Connecting to the locals and gaining insight into everyday life is one of the most valuable things that can happen to me while travelling, which is why, I would love to work and live in new countries, not just visit.
I am both a foodie and an outdoor lover. To balance these two interests is often challenging since going on hikes mostly means bad food.
Therefore, I love to divide my time. First, I spent time outdoors, connecting to myself, nature, and its animals, embracing the tranquillity of the wilderness.
After that, I jump into the buzz of cities and street markets to try out all the food I can get my hands on. If I can, I also try to learn how to make traditional dishes since I love to cook. Thus, I would also be more than happy to prepare meals and concern myself with anything food-related.
All in all, I am an active and energetic person who is always up for a new adventure.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have a diverse range of skills ranging from academic knowledge in communication science to cooking and gardening.
Alongside my university studies, I opened a baking business, through which I regularly sold homemade cakes and pastries. Furthermore, I wrote a food blog on which I shared nutritious vegetarian recipes to help others through my cooking skills and nutrition knowledge. Since I love cooking, I also hosted many dinner parties.
Due to my interest in food, I was intrigued by the hospitality industry and participated in multiple hospitality trainings.
During my high school and university studies, I continuously babysitted children aged 1 to 10 years. I enjoyed the interaction with young kids and the family environment a lot.
Most recently, I started volunteering in a community garden at my exchange university. There, I learned many interesting things about plants, gardening practices and composting.
Lastly, I practised Pilates every day for two years and became really good at it. Thus, I started giving my friends regular Pilates lessons which they really enjoy.
