Hi, I’m Maiko. I’m from Hokkaido, Japan.
I worked as a seller fish at department store in Japan until recently.
In my hometown , Hokkaido has a lot of fresh fish high quality. So, I enjoyed attending and recommending to customers of local people and foreigners!
I like my work there. But, the reason why I try to do workaway is that I’d like to travel and have an opportunity to stay with different countries close beautiful nature. And I’m looking forward to getting new experience I’ve never had. Because, I know that experience broad my world. So, I quit my job and decided to try workaway.
I love traveling and communicate with foreigners.
So now, I learn English everyday. I’m beginner English speaker, but I’d like to make friends who are from different countries and enjoy about different cultures.
Now I’m traveling in Europe.
I’m planning to going to Spain.
In this summer, I experienced Work away for the first time. I spent time with the family in Greece, and with the family in Portugal.
I did making easy sushi, enjoying with “Origami” of Japan with the family, and I helped house work and farm jobs.

I lived alone before, so I can house work, and I like cooking !! but not professional. I have three niece and one nephew. Sometimes I play with them at home and outside. please check my pictures.
I’m interested in a job of farm and garden.
I like exercising , cycling, sometimes doing yoga, hot springs , stone sauna, picnic ( having breakfast outside) , the beach, and cooking.
I will do my best the job you gave me for supporting you.

She been in our place for almost 2 weeks and been really good help. She look around and offer many help when was needed.
Her English need some improvement.
Maiko ..just a bit more practice and you English is good .
She is more than welcome in our place when she is in Spain.
I like my tasks there. Weeding, cleaning the terrace and bath room. Also I love Yael’s restaurant. she said “not restauran” but I really think amazing restauran !! the dishes are everthing delicious, everyone eating together at beautiful terrace together. Yael’s dishes look colorful… read more
