Heythere! I'm Lux, 19 years old from the Netherlands, and want to go see a bit more of the world before I start university next year. Currently I'm on a gapyear, and I'll wright in short about my adventures so far. The first two months, I went to a language school in Salamanca (Spain) to start learning Spanish. After that I extended my trip one month by joining a community in La Palma (Spain). I learned that living/working outside with a diversity of interesting people is so much worth and healthy for me. I really enjoyed getting to know the people I was with, while at the same time I was on a journey on my own.
In February I went to a community around Berlin, where I helped in a forest to build a tree nursery. Although it was very cold (some days -10 degrees) I found it really peacefull and it gave me a lot of fulfillment.

My "skills"
I love to work in the garden, I did it in La Palma and often work in my own little garden. Back home I did a lot of babysitting, I like to play/teach/spend time with children a lot. I can cook a bit, and I sew a bit. But I'm always open to learn new skills!

Things I love to do is making music (genres and instruments don’t matter to me a lot), especially if it is with other people. Creating things (with photography, or drawing, writing, and more to discover), doing sports (running, yoga), spending time in nature, (but, having grown up in a city, I enjoy cities as well), reading, and dancing! I'd say I'm a bit of a philosopher and a idealist, I'm always thinking about life and the earth in a bigger picture, and want to make a change someday in this world. On the other hand, I believe you have to find happiness by paying attention to the small beautiful things you see, hear or feel. Because I can enjoy a lot of this, I'd say I'm a happy and positive person in general.

I'm hoping to meet some like-minded (but different) people who are open to exchange ideas, music, meals, inspirations and dancemoves :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

Some qualities of mine:
- I'm capable of thinking out of the box, which is sometimes usefull for finding solutions
- I take things seriously, so when I have a task to do, I'll do it
- I'm honest

As I just graduated highschool, I must say I don't have much expertise yet. I worked for a year in a lunchroom (which I loved to do), two summers in a restaurant and some time as a dishwasher. I have quite often worked as a babysitter (for kids above 4 years). But if I would have to say something, my expertise would be playing violin, and philosophizing. I got a lot of hobbies, for example photography with my analogical camera, playing music on piano, guitar, violin, my voice, and bassguitar. I also like sewing, I do i t quite often but it' s also something I'd like to develope more. In summer I worked two months on a camping, and learned to prepare/clean little houses and beds. In the last volunteering project I worked a lot in the garden, that's something I really like to do. I' m also open to learn new skills, for example I like to learn how to work with wood constructions.
