Hello everyone,

I’m Lorène, a 24-year-old ecology enthusiast who recently completed a Master's degree in the field. What motivates me most in life is the desire to connect deeply with nature, discover new cultures, and contribute to meaningful projects that promote sustainability and community.

I’m passionate about outdoor sports, especially hiking and trail running. There’s something truly special about being surrounded by nature, exploring new landscapes, and challenging myself physically while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Whether it’s a quiet walk through the woods or an exhilarating run through mountainous trails, these activities bring me immense joy and fulfilment.

Travelling is also a big part of what makes me happy. I love immersing myself in new environments, learning about different ways of life, and sharing experiences with people from diverse backgrounds. Through Workaway, I hope to combine these passions by helping out on projects that align with my values, all while discovering new places and cultures.

My love for languages led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages, where I deepened my understanding of different cultures and honed my skills in multiple languages. In addition to my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to share this passion with others by helping children learn English. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see them progress and to be a part of their language-learning journey. Learning and practicing languages is something that continues to excite me, and I’m always eager to improve my skills and connect with people through language. I believe that language is a key to understanding different perspectives and cultures, and I’m excited to continue this journey wherever I go.

I believe my adaptability and strong motivation to learn new things make me a great fit for a variety of projects. I have a real passion for cooking, especially pastry, and have taken pastry classes to refine my skills. I love experimenting with recipes and creating delicious treats, whether it's for a small gathering or a larger event.

In addition to my culinary skills, I consider myself quite resourceful and handy. I enjoy taking on DIY projects and finding creative solutions to challenges that arise. Whether it’s fixing something around the house or coming up with new ways to approach a task, I’m always up for the challenge.

I've also gained experience in event organization, which has taught me a lot about planning, teamwork, and attention to detail. From coordinating logistics to ensuring everything runs smoothly, I’m comfortable managing various aspects of an event.

Though it’s been a while, I also have some experience with horses from my younger years when I practiced horseback riding. This has given me respect for animals and the discipline of caring for them.
