Hello! I hope that you're well and ready for your next willing, problem solving WorkAway'er.

I have a very diverse background. I was that kid who begged and pleaded to go to summer camp every summer. I went to horse camp then took lessons the rest of the year through. As an employee after that, I mainly worked in food service in the front and back of the house and in customer service. I love working with the public allowing me to meet and discover so many different people and what makes them happy. I've worked in warehouses, in construction, as a cashier, in HR, in customer service, in offices, as a CNA, and whatever my first WorkAway experience will bring.

My current career goal is to host/help host retreats and programs both that I and others create. I lived in a very self sustaining intentional community in 2023 and I learned a lot about DIY....well, everything. :) Most important to me, they taught me to have that mindset way more than a current, conventional lifestyle would teach. I'd very much like to have a homestead in the woods one day and I want my WorkAway experience to help me learn and hone more skills towards this end. And, while I very much live a life of learning, I also want some WorkAways where I get to enjoy my surroundings and those who welcome me into their lives (while, of course, doing the agreed upon work!) and weaving a web of community as I travel. You're so precious and I want a chance to revel in that if you'll let me.

I want to: learn sustainable practices - for me and the Earth; so that I can learn how to plan out how to build and maintain a small farm; I want to become better with hand and power tools- I'm not afraid of them, I just don't have a large amount experience with them but enough to be comfortable with them ; I want to learn other kitchen practices because I love to cook and bake but I've only worked prep in restaurant kitchens, cooked for up to about 15 people at the intentional community where I lived, and, while I cook most meals, I mostly cook for myself otherwise; I want to dive deep into public facing customer service again because I love it; I want to learn how to sew because, despite how I may look on any given day, I have a love of beautiful clothes in which I can still do everyday things.

At the same time... I have a long time desire to run a cafe and a metaphysical event/gathering place and a B&B in a more populated area.

Just as important and meaningful, I'd like to build community and friendships. I hope to meet individuals with whom I can connect over spiritual and personal development or just celebrate the loveliness of being alive on this beautiful planet. While I do take time alone as a contemplative and introvert (and it's during this time that I do my business work/class creation, website maintenance, meditate, do energy work on myself, commune with trees, and write), I enjoy spending the rest of my time with others and learning about them and sharing the wonders of life.

I have my own insurance and my own vehicle. I don't smoke nor vape anything, I don't take recreational drugs, I drink alcohol a few times a year if at all. I am Covid vaccinated. I'm glad to provide you with my vaccination card, resume, and answer any questions you may have.

Hello! I'm glad to support teaching English. I learned German from 1st grade through my first year at college. That was long ago, however. I'd be glad to brush up. Spanish, Japanese, and French are all languages I'd be glad to learn in depth. Korean... I'll admit it, I'd be glad to learn enough to enjoy K-dramas so that I can watch and listen and not have to read the subtitles. ;) :D

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my time as an intern in New Hampshire at a retreat center/IC years ago, this city raised human was introduced to sustainable practices. They grew all their own produce and raised some sheep and chickens. At the intentional community where I lived last year, I had a brief introduction to pruning grape vines and apple trees. I, also, regularly fed the chickens, learned to milk and care for their goats, cut down blackberries vines, and wood chipped and weeded the walking paths. I helped with a drywall/ceiling project (hefting, drilling, cutting, measuring, mudding) and put up chicken wire in the new chicken enclosure. I, also, helped to care for their for their yurt that needed care after being up for over ten years. Winter 2023/2024, I house sat a cat and a cabin in the outskirts of New Hampshire and I have previous experience sitting with dogs and horses as well. I'm glad to work in all weather as long as I can keep my ears and toes warm. All this and everything else that I've listed above in my description!

I became a Reiki practitioner and the ability to heal myself and offer this gift to others rounded out my love of helping and my connection to my spiritual path. So now I, also, run my own (now currently based online) Reiki and Spiritual Coaching business. I'm a Reiki teacher, energy work practitioner, gnosis via tree communion teacher, oracle card reader, and channel: www.OneWholeOne.love. I'm glad to consider offering anything that I can from my personal business at my WorkAway position if it is relevant, applicable, and requested by my host. Please know that I do know how to keep this separate and I will not offer anything that I do in my personal business to any of your guests/employees/family unless it's asked for and then only if it's been discussed with you/my host.

I love: a good Mahjong (table top) game and usually carry a set with me; an Asian drama binge; talk about energy healing; animism; spiritual Onenness; gnosis (but not as much "Gnosticism" though not opposed); long walks; so much forest/nature bathing and communing; learning to bake and cook new things, deep discussions, the woods, the beach and the ocean. I'm very honest. Being positive, compassionate and accepting are very important to me.

I'm excited for the opportunities that being a WorkAway'er may afford me.

  I get hey feaver sometimes. I'm mildly aleargic to cats. That hasn't stopped me from being owned by and being furniture for a couple. Both are taken care of by over the counter allergy pills.
