Hello, my name is Lily-Ella, however most people call me Lily. I am 18, turning 19 in July and have just finished my first year of university, studying Marketing and Management! I've decided to use this summer to travel, gain new experiences and meet lots of new friends. I recently came back from my first solo trip to Bulgaria! Since coming back from Bulgaria, my confidence has greatly increased and I've developed the travel bug! I'm looking for my first Workaway experience where I can share stories with others, gain exciting memories, helping others and hopefully start learning a new language.

I am from a smallish city in the South East of England and would love to get out of my comfort zone by experiencing different cultures and ways of life. My hometown is quite historical with beautiful coastlines an hours drive away, with London being a 2 hour drive. We have 2 family dogs and are very lucky to have lots of countryside to take them out in. I love animals and have spent time volunteering as a dog walker at university.

I enjoy arts and crafts, particularly teaching myself to crochet (even if they might not always go to plan). I also read in my spare time, usually an easy romance or an exciting thriller. I like to visit new places but I am equally content watching a series on the TV, I Just finished one called The Testaments, which was very good.

I am keen to improve my German, I used to learn it school and have just started to pick it back up after a few years. It would be great to improve my skills. I can also teach English for anyone interested in a language exchange!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I volunteered for 4 years with children ages 7-11 in a brownies group, so am familiar working with kids and also teaching others. I am a very organised person, having juggled work, volunteering and academic life since the age of 15, and I always aim to complete a thorough job. I have developed excellent communication skills over the years while working in retail and hospitality and have enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life in these roles.

I'm a very adaptable person, which is something I pride myself on, so I am eager to learn new skills such as gardening and develop the ones I have.
