Descrição

Hello, we are Kristian (24) and Olive (22).
We are coming to the end of an eight month adventure around Japan and have experienced and learnt so much. We were travelling, working and staying with Workaway's throughout our trip and we would love to continue these relationships in other countries!

We graduated university in summer 2024 where we studied filmmaking and we now want to learn and experience more about the world through travel. We have the urge to experience new places and love the idea of becoming immersed in a different culture by taking part in the lifestyle and helping out in any ways we can. We are also eager to meet new people to share stories, skills, fun and broaden our perspectives.

Having studied filmmaking we are both interested in film, music and art. We have both worked professionally as photographers and videographers. During our time in Japan we have shot two fashion campaigns as well as run the instagram for a clothing brand in Osaka.
We would love to use these skills to help with content creation such as video or photography for promotion or documentation. We would be happy to help with websites or social promotion if this is something that would benefit you.

We both grew up in the English countryside so enjoy being outdoors and surrounded by nature. This has also given us skills in gardening, landscaping (building gardens) and animals. Kristian has worked for two years as a garden landscaper which has given him experience in building, woodwork, bricklaying, stone construction and other garden and manual work.

During our experience WWOOFing in Italy and workaway in Japan we have helped with gardening, landscaping, cleaning, housekeeping and childcare/play.
We worked at one of Japan's highest rated Airbnb's where we completed same day turnovers for 20+ guests as well as other maintenance work and jobs.
4 of these experiences have included playing with children and teaching English through play. Kristian is good at introducing and playing active games and Olive is good with creative ideas and making space for creative play such as stories and crafts. We understand the importance of play and think it's important to keep it alive as you get older too so will always be happy to play! Equally, we are patient and gentle and can help cultivate a more calm environment when it is needed too.

We also love to share cultures though conversation and sharing food - we are both very interested in food and love to learn more about (and taste!) different cuisines. We had the opportunity in Japan to help make and try local dishes - we are open to anything! We enjoy to cook to together and to share meals with others.
Additionally, we have hospitality experience as waiting staff at restaurant, bar and cafes so can help out with kitchen/hospitality work where needed.

We are happy to help out in any other ways that we can - we will give anything a go!

Quais são suas habilidades?

Olive and I are both multi-skilled. We have, between us, been bartenders , baristas, cleaners, landscapers (building gardens), waiter/waitress, photographers, designers, builders, filmmakers.

We will try our hand at anything and both understand what it means to work hard. We both grew up working in the countryside/outdoors and have no problem getting our hands dirty.

We are both trained filmmakers and Olive has won awards for her skills in set design. Kristian is also a professional photographer and we both would love to use these skills to help you, if you wanted them.

Give us a job and we will try our hardest to be the best we can be at it.
