This year I decided to leave my job to live my dream of traveling! In 2025, I plan to travel throughout Europe via Workaway. I chose Workaway because it is an affordable way to travel, I want to travel slowly, and I want to get to know and live as locals do. My purpose in traveling is to experience different parts of the world as well as different natural environments, cultures, and lifestyles. I also want to build new relationships, discover more about myself, and live life passionately and joyfully!

I am a nature-lover and want to spend time in nature throughout Europe. But I also love people, and want to be a part of the family/community that I am with and immerse myself in their way of life and the local culture. I would also like to meet other Workawayers and make friends. All in all, I would like a balance between living like a local and exploring the places around me as a responsible, ethical tourist.

I primarily enjoy homestays, but am open to community living and housesitting.

Quais são suas habilidades?

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE- I have a degree in Environmental and Natural Resources and have 4 years of experience teaching the public about environmental topics.

WORKING WITH KIDS- I have 3 years of experience coordinating and leading programs for youth in environmental education, as well as other topics (cooking/baking, agritourism, public speaking, civic engagement, summer camp, etc). I have worked closely with kids aging from 4-13.

GARDENING- I have 1 season of experience as a farm hand (helped on a small, organic farm). I have kept a small, personal garden for 5 years.

WORKING WITH PEOPLE- I have 3 years of experience in customer service.

COMMUNITY LIVING- I have lived (for short periods of time) on a farm, a homestead, and in sustainability-focused cohousing.

My outdoor hobbies include mushroom foraging (I have a certification in wild mushroom safety), walking, swimming, hiking, camping, and going to the beach. I enjoy journaling and reading- fantasy is my favorite genre (Harry Potter fan)! I am a spiritual person and practice meditation and some yoga, and have interests in dreamwork, breathwork, and family constellations. I am active- I jog, work out (sometimes), and play volleyball. I enjoy playing cards, chess, and board games. I love to travel- I have traveled to Costa Rica, Thailand, Japan, and many places in the U.S.

I am an introvert and need alone time to recharge, but I enjoy being around people and around life in general. One of my favorite things to do is go to a cafe in town with my book to just sit and be around the buzz of life! I like talking with people about their experiences in life, spirituality, nature, and travel, among other things! Communication and authenticity are important to me- I am a good listener and communicator, and my strengths are empathy and peacemaking.
