Descrição

We are a newly married couple (both 26 years old) from Scotland, travelling from Mexico to Patagonia. We are looking for fulfilling experiences, mainly interested in homestays so we can properly experience a country, immerse ourselves in new cultures, and aim to give something back. Back home in our professional lives, we have years of experience working and volunteering within environmental protection and healthcare. We both feel passionate about improving the lives of others and promoting conservation of our beautiful planet. We value ourselves on our kindness, inclusivity, and hard working nature, which we hope will set us up well to do a good job in our work away ventures. In our spare time we are keen hill walkers and climbers. We love exercise, adventure, looking after our family pets, and spending lots of time in the outdoors. We are drawn to travelling as a way of connecting us to the world, giving us a better understanding of this place that all of us call home, alongside a space to share our knowledge and cultures as well. We are both keen to improve our language skills, meet new people (and animals too), explore new places, whilst engaging in projects that will benefit us all.

Quais são suas habilidades?

We are both fit and active and in our spare time we enjoy rock climbing, hill walking, cycling and water sports. We own our own home so are used to looking after a house, managing a small garden and have experience with basic indoor and outdoor DIY projects. We are a good team, and we don't shy away from hard work, or difficult conditions. We have experience running activities for sports clubs together at university, specific to mountaineering and kayaking.

Through work, Ewan has experience of regulating environmental impact and responding to pollution incidents across industry, farming, forestry, water environments and waste management. As well as having had additional roles in environmental education at primary school level. Ewan also has voluntary experience with local charities including animal care and tree planting.

Ewan is extremely organised within his work and personal life. He is excellent at planning, loves seeing people come together, has a wide group of friends and is always inclusive in all his efforts. He is enthusiastic and energetic, and always puts in the hard work.

Kate is a qualified Physiotherapist, working within Scotland's National Health Service. Through this and related local experience, she has a good level of knowledge/skill within elderly care, pelvic health, neurology, and post-operative rehabilitation. In the past year this has been specific to rehabilitation following major limb loss. She also has experience volunteering with charities in South East Asia on construction, teaching, childcare, and women's empowerment projects.

Kate is hard working and compassionate. She values her work-based and personal relationships very highly, and always makes a conscious effort to be kind and do her best. She is creative, artistic and has experience in drawing, painting, scrapbooking, and sign making.

We are both very open to new opportunities, are keen to meet new people, learn new skills, and experience new cultures, ways of life, and cooking.
