Hey, my name is Karla and I’m 23 years old. I recently finished my bachelor’s degree in bioscience and now I’m looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone, discovering new places, and connecting with people from different cultures.
I’m a creative, loyal, and reliable person who enjoys learning new things and contributing to a positive environment. I love cooking, spending time with friends, doing sports, and expressing myself through art.
Although I’m not a native English speaker, I’m very comfortable communicating in English. My entire university degree was taught in English, so I’ve used the language extensively in both academic and everyday settings.
While I don’t have much experience with volunteering yet, I’ve done some babysitting and I’m always open to helping out and trying something new. For me, Workaway is a chance to grow, gain new perspectives, and create meaningful memories along the way.

- Comfortable speaking and understanding English (Bachelor’s degree in Biosciences taught entirely in English)
- Educational background in biology. I have a general understanding of nature, the environment, and sustainability, which I’m happy to share or apply where it fits (e.g. gardening, eco-projects), but I don’t have professional experience yet
- Creative thinking and problem-solving
- Reliable and well-organized; good at managing tasks independently
- Experience in childcare (babysitting)
