Hi! I'm Karenza :)

I'm 35 and from the UK and am half Kashmiri, which has instilled a deep connection to travel and culture. I love the great outdoors, seeing different ways of living and meeting new people.

I have experience dog sitting and love animals and nature and have worked with vulnerable young people and for many charities, so I am responsible and compassionate. I enjoy hiking, wild swimming, camping, climbing and yoga. I also like to read and be creative through art, writing, making clothes and photography. I am interested in learning to ski, sail, build and to learn new skills as well as make new friends and see more of this beautiful earth.

Cooking is a great passion of mine and it's one of the ways I share love and care for others. I'm interested in its healing abilities and how it can connect us back to the land and family/community. I'd like to learn more about eating seasonally and locally and learning about local traditions and meals. Whilst interested in health and a vegetarian, I also love to cook hearty meals and am adaptable and can fit in with however you like to eat! I have experience of cooking for larger groups and meal planning for children's conservation summer camps, and socially for friends.

I like to think I'm knd, open minded, imaginative and intuitive and love to contribute to new projects and learn. I have experience organising and coordinating activities and workshops. I've taught English as a second language and am a qualified yoga teacher.

I'm drawn to warm authentic people that care about nature and human rights. I would love to learn to ski (hava had a few lessons already) sail, build, run retreats, and hand drum and mainly to just experience others ways of living and meet some lovely people!

I'm open to learning some of the basic language of places I visit and vice versa. I have experience of teaching but would prefer to engage through a conversational/ creative play approach rather than teaching.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Alan worked in an IT job for a long time and although very skilled at it, the work didn't nourish him and he is looking to be more tactile, he is handy with tools and enjoys fixing things! He is energetic and enjoys keeping fit and volunteered for a climbing charity before travelling.

I (Karenza) am creative with a particular skill at picking perfectly ripe fruit! I make clothes am arty and like cooking. Alan and I belonged to a community garden for a while, and although it was as much about eating cake with the people on our street as it was gardening! We know how to weed and are interested in consuming in more ethical ways.
