Hello !
We are, Julie (22F) and Maël (22M), a young couple from France. We just finished university with an environmental bachelor's degree.
We are looking forward to experience and discover new ways of life, meet people from all over the world, and learn about different cultures.

We love to go hiking and trekking on our free time. Nature gives us a feeling of freedom and it is essential in our lives.

Through this time around Europe, we are searching within ourselves what we'd like to do in life.

Quais são suas habilidades?

About Maël :
After graduation, I worked for a year and a half for SAUR, as a drinking water treatment operator. I used to manage two drinking water factories. This job required skills in plumbing, small electricity and team management.

At that time, I also worked on the water network. I spent many nights repairing leaks that couldn't wait until the next day hahaha...
It meant heavy material and equipment handling, such as concrete saw.

I'm passionate about DIY and handy work, and like to spend a lot of time thinking about how things can be improved.
Recently, I learned how to chop wood with an axe and a chainsaw and really liked that !

About Julie :
As a student, I was the president of an AMAP (Association for the Preservation of Farming Agriculture). We were a team of 7 students. Our main goal was to provide to every student in town a basket of organic vegetables and eggs. I negociated financial subventions for our association to lower the price of the basket to one symbolic euro.

I worked in a french organic farm for a couple of months. I learned a bit how to grow diversified vegetables at a human scale. I used to seed and plant, harvest, weed and then sell the farm products on the market. I also worked with 300 laying hens at that time.

As I love cucurbits crops (especially pumpkin haha), I did an internship in varietal melon breeding. I spent a lot of time harvesting the crops in order to select the best variety.

I'm also able to take care of horses : during my teenage years, I was was given a hand in an horse farm in the south of France. I mainly took care of the animals, and sometimes helped the instructor with children lessons.
