We are a recently married couple from the Western Cape of South Africa. We love learning new things, experiencing new places and meeting new people!

Both of us currently work on, a tourism and production farm in the Western Cape. One of us (Johann) as an engineer, and the other (Comine) as a horticulturist. Together we have experience in working with animals (specifically chickens and bees), fruit trees, DIY and maintenance, some carpentry and construction, and above all the curiosity to learn new things.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Both of us currently work at a production and tourism farm outside of Paarl, South Africa.

My name is Johann. I work as an engineer helping with the development of new production facilities on the farm. I am also the "general problem-solving cowboy", often tasked with solving anything from changing the wheels on a 100 year old ox-wagon, to finding a way to clear slurry out of a dam. In my free time, I have taught myself basic woodworking skills, and would love to learn more. My main interest are problem-solving, physical labour, working outside and learning new things!

My name is Comine. I work as a Horticulturist on a farm specifically focusing on fruit trees, but I love all trees in general!
Everything about nature excites me and because of that, I have been privileged to work with a number of different aspects of nature, including animals, insects, plants and obviously trees. My focus is mostly on tree/ fruit tree health and managing our integrated pest management program on the farm. I have some experience in pruning and planting fruit trees. Working with people in nature is also a huge part of why I love my work. I have always been a very curious person and because of that meeting different people excites me a lot.

Together we also have our own two bee hives and 9 chickens!
