Hi, my name is Joelle and I‘m 21 years old. I study civil engineering in Zurich, Switzerland and live in a smaller village in the middle of the country. I‘m a very active person and I love many different sports: from horse riding, to skiing, biking, hiking and runing. I‘ve lived in California for one year (I did a Rotary exchange year) and the rest of my life I‘ve always lived in the same village. I love to travel, to meet new people, experience new cultures and to learn new languages. I speak german and english perfectly. I‘ve learned french for many years, but I‘m not very good at it. I have also taken some spanish lessons, but I would really like to learn more.
I‘m excited to the workaway experience and I hope it will work out!

Hi, my name is Lorena and I‘m 20 years old. I live in the same village as Joelle. I‘m very sporty: I love to go for runs and I play floorball and I‘m also in a fitness/workout group. I have worked in the french part of Switerland for some time to learn french. So now I know a little bit of french, I speak perfectly german and english. And I would love to learn spanish and italian. I really enjoy travelling and learning new skills. I enjoy nature and spending time outdoors. And I really like to be around people and spend time with my family and friends. I‘m excited to get to know a new country and how life is abroad, making new friends and learn something about a new language.

Quais são suas habilidades?

We are fast learning and hard working. We love to learn about new things and acquire new skills. Lorena has worked in the swiss public transportation company: in the office and at the information desk. She is now working in a office in a security company. She speaks english, french and german. She is great with people and kids and volunteers in her free time as a sports coach for kids. She has also worked as a gardener in a local gardening company.
Joelle is studying at university as civil engineer. She speaks english, german, (very) little french and also (very) little spanish (still learning…). She is also volunteering as a sports coach and works as a truck driver in her free time. She has also spend some time on farms and ranches and knows how to clean stables and horses and other animals (goats, sheep).
We have both also some experience in gastronomy and as a hobby we both like to cook and bake.

We are very active and sportive. We love to discover nature and a new country. We really like to spend time outdoors and hang out with people and animals. We can both drive a car, one of us even tractors and trucks. We like to play board and card games, listen to music, dance, read and play the guitar.
