Quais são suas habilidades?
Joe’s extensive corporate management training and experience offers strong business, workplace and people management skills. Growing up on a farm outside Randfontein, on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa, has embedded a passion for the outdoors and rural style living and taught him how to find practical solutions for life’s challenges. Because of this, he is very handy and skilled in general maintenance and up keeping. His old-school military training to the ranks of lieutenant in the South African military services, taught him the toughness and discipline needed to manage and survive all kinds of situations. As a tour guide, Joe has learned how to take care of people’s needs whilst travelling and has extensive experience on the Cape coastline, Namibia and Okavango.
As a highly trained, experienced and driven nurse in the Netherlands, Alida offers an exciting range of practical and people skills. Being a children’s nurse has cultured her empathy towards people in need and developed outstanding connecting skills. Taking care of the children’s medical needs includes taking care of the parent’s emotional needs. She has travelled the world and loves to learn about new cultures and the different ways of living. Her backpacking travelling style has taught her how to live with the bare minimum and how to stretch resources when needed. As a tour guide, she has further extended her people skills and has learned how to take care of people when they are on a travel vacation.

We had great projects to paint the dorms, the braai area and Joe created new fences to keep the wind out. All of this with a couple of other volunteers.
