Hi!

I'm Janaina, but everyone calls me Jana. I'm 23 years old and Italian. Over the past year, I've been living in Belgium, where I’ve been pursuing my Master’s degree and working. At the moment, I’m taking a break from both, and I’d love to use this time to travel.

I’d describe myself as outgoing, versatile, friendly, and open-minded. One quote that really resonates with me is: “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”

I love meeting new people and having new experiences. Traveling, to me, is not just a way to explore the world, but also a way to learn more about myself. Over the past few years, I’ve taken part in various international programs, courses, and exchanges. I’ve traveled with my family, but mostly on my own—and sometimes with friends.

I’ve also done several Workaway experiences:
- three times in Germany, ranging from one to four weeks . In Berlin as a language exchange, in Hamburg helping an elder, and in a town near Dusselfor on a charity project. .
- once in France, in a town near Nantes for a short visit as a language exchange.
-in Turkey for 3 months at a language school, teaching English to locals.
- Greece for an entire summer as house keeper, Gardner and helping with the airbnb.

These experiences have truly enriched me. They gave me the chance to meet amazing people and fully immerse myself in different cultures. After my previous amazing workaway experiences,I’d love to do it again!

I speak Italian as a mother tongue, I learnt Spanish, French and English during school. I have a B2 certificate or above for all of them. I have been studying at university in English.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Above all I believe that in life we need theoretical and practical skills, but also the we need to become independent, I have started working during high school when I was 16een.

About my skills, I can help with children indeed, I was a baby-sitter and as an au pair girl. Additionally, I can help around the house. Moreover, I am really good at organising and planning. Finally,I like cooking and I am now currently working in an Italian restaurant as a dishwasher and helper in the kitchen.

I would like to specify that I can easily adapt to every kind of situation and environment, thus that I would be really glad to experience and do something different from what I previously did.
