Hey everyone!
My name is Gil Weiss, and I’m super excited to become a volunteer! I’m on a gap year before I dive into medical school next fall, and I’m eager to dedicate this time to meaningful work!
As someone currently living in a war zone, I’m passionate about social awareness, peace activism, and building genuine human connections. I also believe in the daily power of being present and mindful, and I try to live that out every day.
In my spare time, you’ll find me dancing and enjoying music, going on spontaneous adventures, and soaking up nature. These things bring me joy and inspire me to connect with people from all walks of life!
This year, I hope to create deep relationships with various new cultures and people to better understand this beautiful world around me, my place within it, and how I can help make it a better place :)

I’m super excited to share my skills with you! I shine when it comes to interpersonal connections, thanks to my experience in leadership roles and community organizing. I love working in teams and empowering others. On the practical side, I’ve dabbled in gardening and construction, and I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and dive deeper into hands-on work! I’m all about learning new things and improving my skills, and I truly enjoy helping out in ways that best serve the community.
