Hello there,

my name is Finja and I'm 23 years old. I've just completed my bachelor's degree in biology in Rostock in Germany.
During my time in New Zealand back in 2018, I had the chance to engage in wwoofing, which I absolutely loved. Following that experience, I seized the opportunity to gather some truely awesome moments on a horse farm in southern Germany. The time spent there was really amazing and I made some wonderful new friends.

Before I resume my studies in winter 2024, I'm eager to collect some more travel experiences abroad. Exploring new places, sharing moments with wonderful people, being around animals, acquiring new knowledge, immersing myself in nature, meeting new people, and finding myself in remote settings – these are the aspects that resonate with me the most.

I do have a soft spot for animals, particularly horses and dogs. Ever since I was 8 years old, horses have played a significant role in my life. Although I'm no longer around them regularly, I still cherish every chance I get to work with and spend time alongside them.

Photography, engaging in sports like volleyball or acroyoga and baking and cooking all bring me loads of joy. If time allows, you'll find me taking a dip in the Baltic Sea or any nearby lake. Additionally, I'm an active participant in the NAJU (German Youth Association for the Protection of Nature), where we stand up for biodiversity conservation and species protection.

I'm recognized for my strong work ethic, sensitivity, tidiness, perseverance, and my eagerness to roll up my sleeves and get things done.

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my time in NZ, I engaged in a variety of tasks including gardening, weeding, planting, harvesting, painting, and more – so I possess fundamental skills in all these areas :) Additionally, I have a good affinity for animals in general and specific experience with dogs and horses. I've been involved in riding, mucking out, horse care, and teaching since 2008, and I expanded my expertise while working on a horse farm in 2020.

Furthermore, the kitchen is a place where I feel at home. Since around the age of 16, I've taken great pleasure in baking cakes and a wide assortment of sweet and savory treats!

Moreover, I'm quite comfortable with computers and technical matters. Photography is another passion of mine – whether it's capturing people, animals, landscapes, or food, I thoroughly enjoy it all. Editing photos is also a regular part of my routine. I completed an internship in this field and it's something I absolutely adore. Being creative serves as a way for me to clear my mind.

Apart from that, I don't shy away from getting my hands dirty and putting in hard work. There's a genuine satisfaction in seeing the results of your day's efforts in the evening :)
