Hey what's up?
If you made it this far, consider yourself very lucky because you found us ^^
This is Esra & Ravi and we are from Germany. Welcome to our page!

My boyfriend and I used to work for different NGO's (e.g. UNHCR, World Vision, UNICEF etc.) and had to get back to a regular 9 to 5 job because of Covid. This made us open our eyes about everything that is wrong in the world. We got tired of the german society and social system and began to see how purposeless and unsatisfying a normal life is.

So we want to change ourselfs and make a change, even if it's only in the life of one single person. That's why we decided to leave everything behind us and achieve something meaningful in the world. To leave a legacy for us and the people we helped on our journey.

First we worked in Spain for a while to get to know the cultures, language and the mentality because we want to travel to Mexico one day. Then we spend 6 Month in Morocco and volunteered at a school to see how the educational system works there and even more important to learn Arabic because Ravi has a Lebanese father and wants to reconnect with his Arabic roots. After that we planned to visit EVERY continent to explore the unknown and to experience adventures, dangers, hidden civilizations and find uncharted territory.

We are very humorous, open, sincere and profound personalities and believe in honest people and honest work.

''I'm a sincere and honest person and people consider me a very emotional-intelligent human being.
I got a quick grasp / understanding of situations and people. That's why i learn very fast about my environment and the people who live in.
This gives me the opportunity to adapt to my surroundings and my living situation.

I worked in a hospital, retirement home and maternity unit for almost 2 years so i have a lot of experinece in nursing service and childcare.

I have a ''Get it done''-mentality and i am very motivated to learn many new things or use my skills to help people.''

Ravi:

''First of all people consider me a very humerous and entertaining person. I'm a passionate music/movie enthusiast and a very good conversation partner. This is the reason I appericate all kinds of creative work.

I have a lot of work experience because i worked in many different areas in my life. I worked a few years with people with disabilities of any age and at schools as a Integration assistant.
Therefore i am a responsable person and i can de-escalate situations quickly and have no concerns of being in charge of my workplace.

I'm a very independent person with a good heart and the strongest will when i'm passionate about something.

First we want to thank our Host Harim for everything. He is a lovely person with a big heart and we are glad that our ways crossed.
We stayed at the academy actually way longer than expected. Luckily everything was pretty flexible and we could experience different schools, which made our experience even more unique.

The help with the students… read more was easy but so meaningful as you could talk about profound topics and learn a lot about their perspective and opinions. We had so much fun talking to the students and miss them already!

The first school we visited was located in a small City called Berrechid. For us by far the best one. The students, the teachers and the Secretary were so kind and so lovely. They do a amazing job and really care for the students!
The people we met outside the school have been so incredibly welcoming and invited us multiple times to eat their traditional food, which we couldn’t get enough of because is was so unbelievably tasty.

After that we went to the school located in Al-Jadida. We met extremly unique and special Volunteers at that time which made our visit really comfortable there as well. We loved the food from the Maid and had the best Rfissa there, fell in love with the street food and enjoyed a small city on the coast which had a big city flair.

Casablanca Downtown was great but in comparison our least favorite because the volunteers were really young and not that interested in the culture as you should. Even one teacher who was staying in the apartment was so childlike, hooked up with a volunteer and behaved immature. Once she said that “All black people always make problems”. So not our type of people. It was a little bit strange because you couldn’t take them so serious as teachers at the school anymore.
But staying in Casablanca was a REAL privilege as we fell in love with the city very much. It was one of our favorite city’s in Morocco.
We were so happy that we could spend time there.

We definetly recommend any school for the sake of the experience because you do gain a lot from it but advise you to be aware that you’ll meet really young volunteers sometimes who create a opinion really fast and sometimes therefor sit together and talk in a real ignorant and superficial way about different cultures.
If you are older and you are really interested in the culture you might be happier at Berrechid or Al Jadida.

We do miss the intelligent and lovely students already and will keep the memories with them for a lifetime. We hope that Harim will continue his important work and that the students will pass the exams and will make their dreams come true to study abroad!
