Hi I'm Emma.
I'm 31 and have had a permanent base in London most of my life but have travelled a lot and lived in China and Japan as well.
I work in the humanitarian field (I've just finished a job at the Red Cross) but am taking a career break.
I really want to improve my French so am hoping to find somewhere in France where I can practice with a native French speaker, meet some interesting people, explore an area I haven't been to and do something useful!
Outside of work, I'm enthusiastic about trying most activities I can but particularly love hiking and generally being outdoors (I've been obsessed by via ferrata trips over the last few years), reading, music (I play the trumpet and piano), and trying new recipes and food from different cultures.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I'm pretty practical and outdoorsy so can help with most things that need doing outside. I don't have specific skills e.g. carpentry, but am quick to pick things up and have done a few DIY home projects if that helps!
I am good with animals, having looked after two rescue dogs for a number of years and working at a stables while I was a teenager so love horses.
I also have four nieces and nephews (5, 2.5, 1 and 3 months) who I babysit a lot so am very used to looking after children.
I also cook a lot at home and have regularly cooked for large groups of people so would be able to help out with food.
