Hey there, my name is Emily and I’m 19 years old!
I am an ambitious person that always longs to improve and learn something new.
I want to discover as much of the world as I can and I always love getting to know other cultures and meeting new people because I find that they bring me happiness, inspiration and an opportunity for self growth.
Since I have a ton of interests, I like to do lots of different things. I plan on studying music, so singing and playing instruments is something I do as much as possible (and I love it!), but whenever I’m free I also really enjoy reading good books or watching movies, studying new languages, spending time in nature, dancing, doing yoga/sports and being with friends and family.
I simply like variety in life and I’m very eager to meet whoever is interested in meeting me too.

I’m always eager to improve my own language skills and I love speaking to native people to learn even more about each language I speak. During my workaway experience I want to focus on exactly that, but I’m also totally ready to teach some of the languages I know, as long as I still get to speak with you in your language as much as possible!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I just finished my Abitur (German A-Levels) this year, so I’m pretty skilled with anything school related. I’m good at explaining and I love helping people with their school work if they want me to do so. My strengths lie in music, languages and social studies, but I’m not bad with science either, especially with biology.
I also speak German, English and Spanish fluently (although I’m always working on improving) and I’m currently learning Italian as well.
Apart from my academic skills I’d say that I’m good with children and teenagers because I love spending time with them and seeing their view on the world. Although I don’t have any professional work experience with children, I did grow up with two younger siblings, so I have a pretty natural feeling for younger humans, which is why I should be able to care for them well.
Other than that I’m able to do normal tasks around the house such as doing laundry, cleaning, mowing the lawn, cooking…
There might be things that I’m not able to do yet, but I’m a fast learner and I’m sure that I will be able to adapt my abilities to your needs if you explain me sufficiently how things work at your place.
I’m eager to help anywhere needed, as long as I receive enough explanation!

Generally, I just like being active and doing many different things. Whether it is exploring my surroundings by going on long walks, runs or hikes, going for a swim, playing piano and writing songs all day or simply talking to my favourite humans for hours.
I’m not a perfect human being, nor am I striving to be, but I always want to focus on personal growth and self improvement. Still, I’m always looking for the happiness in the little things because I think that life is about enjoying and discovering as much as you possibly can.
I love trying out something new every day, which is why I’m open for anything you might want to show me or introduce me to. I might not be able to do it all perfectly well on the first try, but you can be sure that I am not the person to instantly give up on something they can’t do. There’s so much to learn out there!
And while I do that I can hopefully become close to many, many wonderful people, because what greater feeling is there than knowing that you have a chosen family scattered all over the world?!
