I live in Portugal, with my husband and we are currently at my parent's home helping them out with their home and animals (six dogs and chickens). They have a large garden where they grow organic vegetables and fruits. We help with the gardening and general maintenance.
I was born in Portugal, but grew up in England, then moved to the USA where I lived for most of my life (I have both Portuguese and American dual citizenship). In 2021 I moved to India for a while to live with my husband who is an Indian citizen. We lived on his farm in Northern India where his family own a small buffalo dairy farm and land for crops and vegetables which they grow for selling and for their own use.
In the USA I worked as a professional massage therapist for a chiropractor and for a thriving massage business in Minneapolis, MN. Before that, I worked for a housecleaning agency as a freelance housekeeper with multiple clients. This lasted for a few years.
Currently, I am also a voiceover artist, providing narration for videos and audiobooks, working from our home studio. My husband works on the audio editing and technical aspects of this type of work.
In the UK, I worked as a trainee gardener on a large country estate, under the head gardener, and then also at a family run country house nursery and tea shop where I worked part time as their gardener. I especially loved working with plants.
Both my husband and I love nature and animals. We were both raised around animals. Dogs, cats, chickens, cows/buffalo, goats etc. He is vegetarian but eats eggs. I eat fish and eggs but no meat.
We are spiritual people who love the peace and quiet of nature. I am knowledgeable about, and interested in natural healing methods, including herbalism and cooking with foraged, edible wild plants. I practice yoga and Pilates about 5 days a week and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Both my husband and I love to cook together also. We don't watch TV, preferring to watch an uplifting movie or series in the evening from an online source.
We do need good quality internet because we also plan to continue our online voiceover work project which is more of a hobby for an hour or so in the evenings.
We also require a clean, warm and dry (no mold. We have had major problems with mold in our room at my parents' house which we do not want to live with again... :( private place to live, preferably with its own bathroom and kitchen. We don't need luxury, but we just want to be comfortable and healthy.
We've both outgrown our time at my parents' house, and now we need to move on and find a place where we can work and have our own space and a more peaceful life. We would prefer long term work, but we are open to staying just a few months if that's all that's needed, and possibly returning again when needed. Overall, we are pretty flexible. We are both very reliable and honest people, as well as hard working.
We do not drink alcohol, but don't mind being around people who drink in moderation. However, we cannot live in places where there is illegal drug use, or cannabis smoking etc.
Having lived in the cold Midwest USA, I am very capable of driving in snow and ice with four wheel drive vehicles.

As an EU citizen, I am free to live and work in any EU country. My husband is a legal resident of Portugal and can work legally in any EU/EEA country.
