Hello from Greece!
We’re Chad and Brenda, a friendly, reliable Canadian couple (plus our two sweet cats, Molly and Diego) currently living in the Pylos region of the Peloponnese. We’re seeking meaningful Workaway opportunities where we can contribute our skills, connect with good people, and experience life in new places.

Chad is a youthful and energetic journeyman carpenter and general contractor who thrives on hands-on work. He’s experienced in home renovation, construction, and general maintenance, and is always happy to lend a hand with building, repairs, or creative projects. His passion is carpentry and building.

Brenda is a writer, and certified herbalist. She works as a digital nomad and brings a deep love of nature, plants, creativity, and animals. She’s passionate about natural living, and teaching natural medicine making.

We’re both easygoing, practical, respectful, and value good communication and mutual kindness. We enjoy simple living, local food, time in nature, and spending time creating community. Our cats, Molly and Diego, are well-traveled, calm, and clean, and adapt easily to new places. They are used to being around other animals, including dogs.

We’re especially interested in opportunities that involve:
• Gardening, permaculture
• Animal care
• Herbalism, holistic healing
• Cooking, preserving, foraging
• Renovation and building projects
• General maintenance

We are open and willing to take on different tasks, and are responsible and hard-working. Chad is the muscle of the team, and Brenda is the brains! Thus Chad does the heavy-lifting and Brenda does the lighter-maintence tasks and teaching.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Between the two of us, we bring a strong mix of practical, creative, and holistic skills, and we genuinely enjoy pitching in wherever we’re needed.

Chad has 35 years of experience as a general contractor, with hands-on expertise in:
• Carpentry and woodworking
• Plumbing, electrical, and irrigation systems
• Concrete and masonry - including stone walls
• Operating heavy machinery (excavator, tractor, skid steer, front loader)
• Olive harvesting (from last season here in Greece)
• Holding a commercial truck license from Canada
• Experience with eco-farm management

He’s resourceful, reliable, and happiest with tools in hand. (Language-wise, he’s a proud one-language Canadian, but he makes up for it with a great work ethic and good humor.)

Brenda is a writer, novelist, and certified herbalist & holistic health coach, with a deep love for nature, plants, and meaningful living. Her skills include:
• Writing, editing, and creative content
• Advanced technology skills & graphic design
• Herbal medicine making (tinctures, teas, salves, etc.)
• Gardening, foraging, and preserving
• Homesteading and animal care
• Cooking wholesome, seasonal meals
• Visual art, knitting, and handmade crafts
• Grew up on a farm with chickens, horses, and other animals
• 12+ years of homeschooling experience
• 20+ years of Yoga (including teaching) and Reiki master

Languages:
Brenda speaks English, fluent Italian, conversational Spanish, and Greek, and is fluent in Sign Language (ASL).

We love playing games of all kinds, including board games, card games, and the occasional video game night. Brenda is a lifelong bookworm and always has a stack of novels on the go. Chad has been playing baseball since he was five and still enjoys a good game of catch. We both enjoy swimming, hiking, and spending time outdoors, especially when exploring new places or hanging out with animals. We also enjoy cozy evenings with music, good conversation, or a round of cards with new friends.
