Hi. Enquiring about your Workaway position.

I am a young and mostly fit 67 year old retired male, originally from Scotland but living in South East England.

I am well travelled but have hit a glitch on that front, at least temporarily, which has prompted me to look at Workaway options. The glitch being that my long term partner and travel companion has a young, boisterous dog which means that we have to limit our travel . Or at least she has to….. So I'm currently looking for adventures that she wouldn’t be interested in, to do individually or with friends.
I have a grand masterplan to spend at least part of the winter in warmer countries – we have just returned from a trip to Oman and Cairo, and I have a gap now until May!

So I am looking for a Workaway position in February/March for about two weeks, probably with a tourist weekend at the start and end, Workawaying during the two weeks.

I am a reasonable and creative handyman, but with no specific skills such as electrics, plumbing or woodwork. Having quite an old spine, consistent heavy duty projects would be out of my league but the smaller variety should be fine, as is gardening, which I do a lot at home. I can’t cook, but am very good at helping prep and washing up. Pretty experienced at painting and decorating.

If I sound like an acceptable candidate (please ask any other questions you have), how are you placed for a two week Workaway in late February or early March?
