My name is Daan Alea and I am girl from The Netherlands in my twenties, currently living in Pirkanmaa, Finland.

I am looking for different ways of living. The 'standard' way of living seems alienating from nature, oneself and the people around oneself. It seems lonely and excesively luxurious to me. I would like to live a simple life, connected to my natural and social surroundings, minimalisitic and sustainable. If I need something, or something I have breaks, I make/fix it myself. I try not to consume too much and I take good care of my belongings, so they can stay with me for as long as possible after which they can have another life with someone else.

One day I hope to be carpenter, sailor, herbalist, wool spinner, translator and tourguide of some sort. I am multipassionate and do not wish to focus solely on one particular field. Self development and eternal learning are important to me. With my genuine curiosity and friendliness I know I will learn something from every workaway experience to come.

If I have the chance I like to go bouldering.

I am quite an extraverted person. However, I need my time alone. Please do not take it as an offence if I go for walks on my own or if I dive deep in a book. I need that time to be full of energy again for a next assignment or adventure together!
