Hi !

I'm Damien, a young electronical engineer who wants to discover the world by him self before working as engineer. I'm naturally curious and I enjoy working with my hands. I love travelling, that has start with a 6 months travel in Asia with my family when I was 12 years old.

I love travelling by moving, in a camping car, on a boat, and I would like to get my motorbike license to travel by this way too. I also love to stay at the same place for a moment, and meeting new people, discovering new skills and knowledges.

I'm a quick-learner and handy person. I love getting my hands dirty, working outside and do DIY stuffs. I aso love cooking, I opened a student restaurant inn my shared accomodation made with friends for friends, and I would like to learn more about self sufficiency and about eco project.

My dream would be open an accomodation and restauration service on a sail boat and discover the world with my guests!

I have joined Workaway to meet people, get some new experiences and learn new skills.

I've started my travel by working for 2 months in a chocolate factory in Montreal, then crossed the rocky mountains in winter in a RV, joined a first Workaway in north British Columbia helping in a kitchen of a host table, worked for 4 months in a horse ranch in the desert of BC, hiked the Sunshine coast trail (180km) and the West coast trail (80km) in total autonomy, lived on a boat on Salt Spring Island near Vancouver, crossed Canada by hitchicking to Quebec for fall, and finally worked in a treehouse resort near Montreal.

I'm now heading to Central America for a few months before going back to Europe by sailing.

I speak French, English, and I would like to learn Spanish while I'm in Central America.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have an electronical engineering background and I like to dabble in everything.

I have worked a lot on my house in Belgium, doing things like woodworking, gardening, painting, electrical work, among other things, including building a swimming pool.

I also enjoy cooking for myself and for others. My roommates and I opened a "student restaurant" just for fun, during my last year of studies.

I led a group of 40 children aged 8 to 12 for four years, with eight other people, once a week and for two weeks in the summer, and I loved it.

I also enjoy driving all kinds of vehicles and I have done sailing for a long time.
