I like to live new experiences, especially those that scare me because they allow me to know myself more. I am trying to live in the present and enjoy life as it is, accepting everything that comes. I love being together with children, the main reason why I chose to work together with them in my work.

Quais são suas habilidades?
I have a degree in pedagogy (5 years of study) and I have often found myself in school contexts with children and parents. At the moment I am carrying out research in the university field, my study interest is outdoor education, therefore in natural contexts. I did an internship in a Danish forest school (five months) and now I am in Stockholm where I am doing research in a Swedish "i ur och skur" (six months). I decided to move from my small town in the province of Bologna to new territories, because I wanted to know new cultures and new ways of educating .. and new children .. which I always carry in my heart. I think I am a calm person who opens up to new experiences even if I have never had them before, capable of listening, collaborating. I love nature (this is also in my studies) and animals. I feel the need to do something positive for this world

I like reading, traveling, walking in nature. I like meeting new people, customs, traditions, new things .. because "you never stop learning". I like playing board games, being creative (I collaborate with a center for the reuse of waste materials in the educational field)

I chose to leave and participate in this project because I felt the need to do something concrete for my environment and for nature. The world is hosting me and allowing me to know all its beauties and it was time to be grateful, to help it, this time giving something: my time. I never thought that this experience (two to be precise, because I… read more have already been twice) would have changed me profoundly. Collecting plastic on the coasts is not "just" putting on gloves, taking a bag, and starting to collect trash, but it is organization, it is waking up early, dressing with many layers of clothes, it is getting on the boat, putting gasoline, unpacking and making knots, is sailing and looking for plastic on the coasts, it is going down on the rocks and starting, even if it rains, even if you are tired, knowing that you do not know when it will end. Collecting plastic with them is a journey into the emotions you feel when you do it: anger, sadness, disappointment towards human beings, a sense of guilt, a bitter belief that you will not be able to collect everything because microplastics are everywhere, even underground. It is a journey into your way of living and consuming. But not only that, collecting plastic is a team effort, it is helping each other, it is doing it together, it is hope, empathy, joy to be doing something together. When I returned home and was sitting in the boat, after a tiring day of cleaning, looking at the ocean, the mountains, the sky, that was one of the deepest and most intense emotions of satisfaction and peace with the world ever experienced in my life that will always remain inside me. These emotions I felt allow me to tell you that if I had the opportunity, I would clean the coasts with them again and again. This year, in five months, we have collected 32 tons of waste and I am very proud of it!! Participating in the project is not "only" cleaning the coasts, but it is also participating in the organization of the lectures that are done with the schools, another very important part that is integrated with the first, it is very important to clean but it is also very important to show and share what you find and the problems caused by what you find to the new generations, because everyone must know and be able to take action to change their habits and act. And it is also for this part that I have chosen to participate in the project rather than others. The history is ancient, it is made up of the people who founded it and those who have been carrying it forward over the years, it is made up of passion, organization, hard work, seriousness, but also laughter, irony, openness, kindness and friendship. Each of them has their own role but the same aim and it is not taken for granted that there is in an association. I learned a lot from the people there (and also from other volunteers who came from all over the world ) and I am really grateful to them for that, each of them has been an example for me and I am grateful to them. These experiences have allowed me to get to know, develop a deep relationship with nature and living beings, admire Norway, a wonderful nation and take steps to continue doing something in my country as well. These experiences have profoundly influenced the way I live and my choices, for this reason that since I returned to Italy I have started to take action in various ways, to share my experiences with my citizens, because we are all connected, we are all humans and citizens of the same world, whom we must protect together! Thanks to this project and all the people who are part of it!
