Hi.

I’m Carlos. I live in Córdoba, Spain, at the moment.

I have done many workaways and been part of many different working groups, collectives, communal houses, in many different countries. I have been involved mostly in projects concerning food security, veganism, communal living and migration.

Right now I am very interested in learning about ceramics and/or woodworking. So I am looking for workaways around Europe in which I can interact with people that work with these crafts. I have an active mind and love learning and when I get into something and go on for hours.

I have a broad range of interests and I'm passionate about playing the guitar and learning about music, reading and discussing with my book club, cooking with my friends and in different projects, hiking, gardening.. and always down engage with new ideas and learn new things. I am also trying to learn German at the moment as is a place that I spend more and more time lately.

Quais são suas habilidades?
Cooking/cheffing: I have worked in some restaurants and been part of projects cooking for +1000 people. I have taken care of the whole organization behind getting the things done, planning menus, teaching and guiding groups of people to get the food done and distributed.

Organizational: I've been part of organizational teams in different projects and jobs, getting people on board, making schedules, adjust ways of working of different people, reflect on how we do things, if they align with the projects visions and purposes, etc.

Cleaning: I've done an insane amount of dishes in my life and deep clean kitchens and spaces in various projects.

General physical labor: I think I have a good amount of energy and I can push through physically demanding activities.

Meetings: The power to sit through endless meetings in collectives that some people find tedious, I actually quite enjoy it.

Woodworking: This is what I want to learn at the moment. I'm just taking a short course, so I don't have developed skills, but in this specific topic I guess I have the skill of being really enthusiastic about it and willing to put a lot of hours for it.

This was a great workaway experience and Brahim a ver good host. I spend 5 days there, sleeping in a mud hut with 3 other guys. We had plenty of space and it was very comfortable. Carlos was great to work with. He showed lots of interest and quickly got a deep understanding of the project. He’s smart, got lots of work done, and he’s cool which made working together fun. Theo's place is well located, very comfortable and has all the basic needs covered. Bed, shower, kitchen all perfect. And just 5 minutes waling you have a lot of ancient Greece ruins and stuff like that if you're into that.
