Hallo,
My name is Boet and I'm a 22 year old filmstudent from the Netherlands.
As a storytelling ape I love experimenting with the medium which is film.
Apart from language it's a way of mine to communicate and define my subjective experience of life.

Currently I'm traveling through Central America with my girlfriend.
(Costa Rica > Nicaragua > El Salvador > Guatemala)
Through experience we have found that volunteering gives us a much more layered and intense experience of the countries we truly are priviliged to visit.
Contributing to 'Work with Nature' their research by catching and identifying butterflies in the middle of the rainforest and planting chilli plants on their farm is not something we'll be doing in the Netherlands any time soon and we are all for it!

By getting to know the people we've already met on our way we found ourselves in situations we could have only dreamed of.
One moment you compliment someone's mustache and the other moment you'll find yourself getting a tour through the firestation of San José, getting into conversations and discussions about various topics or participating in the festivities of Costa Rica's independence day.

I hope I somewhat introduced myself through all these letters on your screen. :)

As a farmers son I did spend a lot of my youth on the land, where I believe my love for nature and specifically my love for insects originated from
Currently I'm studying film at Maastricht Institute of Arts, creating documentaries and experimental movies.
I've done volunteer work at a summer camp where I would primarily entertain and play games with the kids.
