I grew up in a small village and have been living since then. I've been dreaming of looking at the world for a long time, so I quit my job and detached myself from most of what keeps me from being free. Now I can go almost anywhere I want and look forward to meeting and getting to know interesting cultures and friendly people.

I trained as a boilermaker and have worked in a steel construction company so far. If my hands get dirty, that's no problem for me. I have also helped out on farms several times and like dealing with animals. Cooking is also a nice activity for me.

Maggie was a great host for me. We did long bushwalks, cooked together, watched live music, made some arts or just talked ... as an exchange I mostly worked in the garden. I am happy that I was able to spend time with Maggie and her wonderful dogs and cats.

Ben is a competent, independent and hard worker and I would highly recommend him. In the ten days he stayed, my garden was transformed. He dug veggie garden beds, cleaned outdoor areas, chopped tree branches, cut the overgrown grass, built a simple bike shed, restrung a clothes line and put up a blind and a shelf indoors. I had a beautiful time at Andrew , Ana and Lucia's Place in Fremantle. Working together was allways fun and I could learn some new things like burnishing wood for furniture and making molds and concrete for a bench top. Benni stayed with us for more than two months and really helped us progress our renovation. Benni's training is in metalwork but he can turn his hand to any type of practical tasks, for example making metal parts, fixing things and making a beautiful, handmade concrete benchtop. I feel very lucky I found this Workaway and could stay there for a while. The restaurant and the garden are amazing. Ben is a great young man. He is a very nice and easy communicative person. From the first day it was very comfortable to be around him. Everyone seems to love him.
