Hello dear Hosts,.
After finishing a long term contract of work with the Land Conservancy of British Columbia at Home,. in Canada,.. I have been traveling on an off for the last 6 years,.
. It has more or less become a lifestyle for me, for the time being,. and I have loved just about every minute of it.

. . . A bit about myself;
I am a mature woman,. mother of University student who now is married and lives in Norway. I am in good health with happy dispositions,. My friends and acquaintances could describe me as calm, cheerful, patient, efficient and off course reliable.
(I guess you could say it comes with many years of practice, hahaha.)

My general work experience implies the mastering of a few basic skills.
Among other things,. I have cared for and looked after plants through different jobs and personal businesses for many decades ;
. . landscaping,. classic gardens restoration,. bed designing,. plants reproduction and maintenance. Lately my passion has been "foodscaping" , using vegie plants as ornamental items in interesting organic garden design.

I was also a painting contractor for a few years, and can manage small repairs of many kinds. One thing I enjoy and am pretty good at, is organizing or re-organizing work areas, such as tool sheds,. kitchens, or offices, in a functional way,. with a flair for cozy and warm atmosphere added on,. ( no matter what condition the place is in, to start with. I will bring it back to a pleasant work space I guarantee you will be very pleased with 😉 )

That's about it for the basics, . I also have a TEFL certificate and have taught English in many countries with great pleasure .

, All this said, I do hope that my humble skills and experience could be of good use in your projects,. and endeavors, and I am very much looking forward to hear from you !

My stay with Judy and Manu was so nice ! Judy is a beautiful and gentle mom, and Manu is bright, funny and full of life .

Louise was simply wonderful to have as a guest. So much was accomplished in the two weeks she was here. There was a lovely exchange of cultural backgrounds and lively conversation during leisure times. Bonus! I made a new fabulous friend!

Hello all,
Sorry I am a tiny bit late in writing this review. Time goes by so fast, and actually though it's been a couple of months already, in some way it feels like I never really left, . . like a part of me will always remain with these amazing people.

How can I describe my experience without using words like amazing, profound,… read more enlightning, heart warming, and all together magical in some kind of an unexplainable way.

Nothing particularly outstanding at Abdel's school, just the most genuine and endearing people you can possibly dream of. , Students with bright eyes, open mind, friendly, inquisitive, playful and most sincere welcoming attitude. No matter who you are if you can help them to learn English, French or any other languages, through serious classes or just exchanging about anything in your own way, you will make a difference and be most appreciated for who you are.

About practical details such as accomodation, the town itself and activities you will be invited to partake into by the students, other teachers and Abdel's family members, it's all in the Intro and other volunteers review, so I won't extend on it, but let's just say that you will be delighted and surprised practically on a daily basis as well as most comfortably lodged where you will feel right at home, right away.

Abdel is an extremely bright ( and serious) young man with a great sens of humour and a very broad and open understanding of the world's ways. , His uncles, and dad, his aunt whom we affectionatly nicked named "Mama Mélika" , nephews, nieces, will drop in at the school once in a while to say hi and check if you need anything . They are the warmest people you can possibly meet. You will also get to meet Abdel's sweet mom, grand parents and other member of his familly at his parent's lovely farm where you will be welcomed and fed like Kings.

And then there is Aziz, the main local teacher, incredibly charismatic and multi talented young man who will be very helpful and whom you will love to work with. He is a very busy guy, but I am sure he will also find time to invite you to his outside classes and many music and social events. . .

I guess I could go on and on about each and everyone I meet during my 2 months stay in Attaouia, and the marvelous feeling it was to be among them, but then again, I have to leave some of that magical Morocan mystic for you to discover on your own. . . Let's just say that I will cherish this memory forever.

Thank you Abdel for your immense kindness and generousity, and all the great fun we all had together. I will miss you all forever !!!!
