Hello! I'm Amy, I live in Scotland but have recently been travelling throughout Latin America (current location: Peru). My goal is to connect with people from around the world while sharing my skills and continuing to improve my Spanish.
I'm passionate about social justice and have worked for the past 10 years directly for charities supporting women and children, refugees and asylum seekers, and environmental projects. Before I began travelling I was delivering government funding to charities and organisations throughout the UK and would love to share my knowledge and skills in business planning, fundraising and event planning to support local community work and small businesses.
I've also done my fair share of hospitality work from working in bars and gig venues in Manchester, to small cafes in rural Scotland. I love interacting with new people and getting stuck in.

In Scotland, I have taught ESOL (English as a second or other language) and would be interested in opportunities for language exchange. I have been learning Spanish on and off for 8 years and I'm currently at a B2 level (although the levels don't mean too much to me!). I can understand a lot more than I can speak so I would love the opportunity to speak more Spanish while offering my skills.

Professional skills include business consultancy, financial support including fundraising, evaluation and report writing, I am skilled in content creation and would be pleased to help with your messaging through social media and communication with customers, guests and those you work with.
I have long term experience in hospitality and love working hard to make sure people have a good experience! I have worked in bars, waitressed in cafes and restaurants, and as a barista preparing coffee and food.
I love the outdoors and have lots of knowledge and experience in gardening and outdoor work. Back in Scotland I worked with a small group to turn an abandoned plot of land into a flourishing flower and vegetable garden for the community. I'm not shy of manual labour, if you show me the ropes and tell me the goal I like to get involved!

I've been driving for 15 years (which makes me feel old!) and love a road trip or helping out with driving whenever I can. I have my international driving licenses for throughout Latin america and experience driving vans for gardening work and campervans on various trips.
