I'm travelling through New Zealand with the intention of experiencing the beauty of the country, learning and growing, doing a little bit of soul searching. I have a passionate interest in living wildly and self sufficiently. I want to learn anything and everything to do with living off the natural landscape so anything foraging, fishing, hunting, bushcraft, animal tending, survival skills, traditional skills and crafts I am interested in and want to learn everything you can teach me!

I have good general competence in all things labour and handiwork, I most enjoy building projects which I have experience in both from Workaway and family life back home. I am very easygoing and take to any work happily and diligently and what I don’t already know I’m always keen to learn quickly!

I stayed for a week at Clare’s and it was wonderful. Clare is one of the sweetest, purest of heart people you’ll ever meet! She is so kind and genuine and you’re guaranteed to feel cared for with her.

Adam stayed with me for a week and helped me with some great outdoor tasks while at mine. He was a real pleasure to have around, and worked conscientiously at all tasks I asked of him. My 2 week stay at Mikes was great! He’s undertaken a very big and meaningful project and it’s wonderful to be a part of that. Mike does a good job of showing you the bigger picture and explaining why you do the work you undertake while staying with him which is a nice change from the usual garden maintenance of other workaways, at Mikes you get to… read more

I stayed with Hannah and Will for about 2 weeks and it has been one of my best work away experiences yet. They are such a lovely family living a natural and off grid lifestyle and they really do make you feel like one of the family.
