This was my first Workaway experience and I'm glad to have met Cornelis. He is a bright and sincere host. With him we went to his family's cottage in France. In the mornings I helped him get ready and we had breakfast together. Afterwards we left the house and visited the areas nearby. I saw a lot of beautiful places I don't think I would
… read more otherwise have had an opportunity to visit. In the afternoons we would come back to the cottage and later have dinner together. I didn't need to cook or clean alone as I got help from his relatives. I really enjoyed my time in France and it felt more like being on a holiday with friends. Cornelis is a very cool guy and I never regret going there! I had much fun with walking and socializing the cute puppy, Toulouse. Don't worry Cor, she is a smart dog!! :) Ghent is a great city to visit so this is a plus too. The cat was also very nice to me and Cornelis' girlfriend as well! Thank you for the interesting talks about our countries!

Our stay with Cornelis and Joke was unbeatable, they are a very funny and cool couple, we shared very nice moments like birthdays, concerts, easter and beach. They are very sociable and have many friends, they always included us and made us feel part. They also invited us to visit some towns in their van. We are musicians and Cornelis helped us

The work didn't really feel like a job, we helped with the cleaning (vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, etc), we watered the garden from time to time, sometimes we cooked, helped with the shopping, etc. We also put some baseboards, we did not have much knowledge of how to do it but Cor explained us with a lot of patience and good vibes. Great guys Paula and Joel! Very friendly, interested and not at all disturbing in any way. They really like their own quiet time so they will definitely respect yours. They're good cooks and our house was never this clean.
Really talented musicians ofcourse. I hope they'll be able to play all over Europe.

Cornelis is really an interesting and sociable host. I really enjoyed cooking and talking with him in the beautiful kitchen. I really felt like at home! Even the cat is nice and cuddly with me. I will never forget that great experience

Davide stayed in my home for over a month and he was very pleasant company. He's a very calm, peaceful guy that will definitely not be to intruding or anything like that. He mainly did kitchen chores, some shopping, cleaning, cooking and this all went smooth. He's really good with my cat as well! We will miss him.
