Descrição

We are Natalia and Tim, we live on a beautiful 11 acre property right on the border of Mapleton Falls National Park. Mapleton is located in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast providing stunning rainforest scenery, but only a 40 minute drive to the beach. This is the ideal place for waterfall lovers and hikers. There is so much to see and do in this area.

We require approximately 4h/day Monday-Friday in exchange for food and accommodation in our spare room (with queen bed).

We have a big property and there are endless jobs to be doing. Tasks includes mainly gardening, small projects, landscaping.
We have all the tools required, like a tractor, large ride on mower and whipper shippers No experience is required as we will teach you everything.

We would prefer a couple but solo travellers are also welcome :)

Our house is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom 1 car house. We have a spare room consisting of a queen bed, wardrobe, ceiling fan and TV in bedroom.

We have beautiful walking track, National Park next door to the main house with waterfall. A 5 minute walk to a bus stop and a 12 minute drive to the main town centre of Nambour, which offers, train station shops and much more.

Unlimited internet, no house pets but 13 chickens

Ellie and Tom are back with us for a second time, and having them here again feels like they never left. The first time they stayed with us, it was for 11 months—initially due to car troubles, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. During that time, they found jobs as mural artists, which opened up a whole new career path for Tom. Ellie … read more landed a role in hospitality and quickly became a pillar of our small community.

Over the months, they became more than just workawayers—they became part of our family. We've laughed, cried, worked, socialised, and created countless special memories together. Their work ethic has been nothing short of outstanding and incredibly diverse. They've taken on painting, gardening, mural work, IT tasks, building, landscaping, roofing, plumbing, animal care, cooking, cleaning, and house sitting—with excellence in every area.

Our daughter absolutely adores them—especially their charisma and fun energy. She now does a perfect British accent thanks to Tom and Ellie, which brings endless joy to our household!

Having them back for nearly a month now has been such a joy. They were sorely missed when they left to explore, and we welcomed them back with open arms. We’ve picked up right where we left off, creating even more beautiful memories.

Soon, they’ll be off again for six weeks to continue their adventures, but we’re thrilled they’ll be returning for another month after that. Their presence will give us the chance to take a short vacation, knowing our home and animals are in safe, loving hands.

This Workaway experience has blossomed into a deep, lasting friendship filled with love, honesty, and mutual respect—something our entire family and community will cherish forever. Tom's incredible artwork lives on in every corner of our town, and Ellie’s warm, generous spirit is truly part of our hearts.

They will always have a place here—with us, and in our memories.

Tom and Ellie are back and came for a third stay with us. They came back the same day we jet setted off for a holiday overseas and are so blessed and grateful they gave us the opportunity to have a break. The trust we share between us is so amazing, as we just left, we left them to look after our entire property along with my elderly father. They are such great workers and over the past year and a bit have made a great routine with the work we have needed to be done. From cleaning, gardening, landscaping, Ellie being our chicken whisperer and looking after our girls so very well and so much more. Now they are off again down south for their next adventure. The connections we built with this amazing human being will be sorely missed but not forgotten as we have now made 2 very incredible friends for life. We are grateful to call them part of our family.

Excellent!!! Natalia and Tim were awesome, the place superbe! Staying here was a real pleasure, we had a lot of fun together. The work is easy, they are flexible fo how you manage the work hours during the week. I have been travelling for more than 5 years and I can say they are the best family I stayed with.
