Welcome to my profile!
I'm Deniz, living in the hills of Kaş, Antalya. I have been living here since 2016. Doing basic natural construction and gardening is my all life. Mud is an unbelievable material and I really enjoy creating useful things with mud.
My life is simple in this silent village. Daily improvements we do together with workawayer friends make me happy.
I love playing guitar and composing. I am interested in rock and experimental stuff.
In 2016, I constructed an earthbag house in which I am living at the moment. I need help from workawayers as I want to convert this land into a spot where "good" people gather and produce together. Life in this place is silent and simple. I want to emphasise that life here is really really simple. Better not to expect "city" comfort here.

Another thing I want to emphasise is I do not need workers, I need "friends" with whom I can create hand-made structures and gardens. I want it to be like a family here rather than volunteers that count their days and hours.

Supermarket products are not used here when alternatives exists. There will be many fruits, vegetables and dry foods. It will be a kind of vegetarian type of foods so meat will not be available but dairy products are ok.

In order to take shower, we are heating water in a special kind of stove manufactured for that purpose. We mix hot and cold water in a bucket.

This is a nice place where you can experience the local village life of Turkey. However, people started moving also here. Everywhere is pine forests. You will also have a chance to experience great touristic town, Kaş, which is 30 km away.

We are going to plant some seeds for spring harvest.
Olive season is soon and we are going to pick olives.
We will also finish semi-finished natural buildings.

Acomodação
There is a small and simple hut in which a person can stay comfortably. This hut is 50-60m away from my home.
Top floor is used as a dorm where 3 volunteers can stay together however usually one or two people stays there. There is a nice terrace and view there and 100% hand-made floor with glasses, mud, wood and reeds. Great ambience.

i stayed a bit more than two week at deniz and it was a great experience. he s a really kind host. we mainly picked up olives and built a mud house which was amazing for learning. the place is wonderful such as the owner and the animals. i highly recommand that place
