  We love English and want to exchange on a cultural level. We will be happy to help travelers in learning French and to share with them aspects of French culture. We can be resource persons on activities or sites to visit in our department and elsewhere in France.

  Ajuda

  The help requested from travelers consists of maintaining the land (weeding, pruning, etc.) and participating in renovation work. You will be able to learn certain techniques and you will not be alone in carrying out the various tasks.
  
  L'aide demandée aux voyageurs consiste en l'entretien du terrain (désherbage, taille...) et la participation à des travaux de rénovation.

  You will be accommodated in a single room with private bathroom, breakfast and lunch will be taken together during the week and for the evening and weekend, you can eat with us or not, according to your convenience.

  We want motivated and happy people. Our house is located in a village that belongs to the city of La Roche sur Yon, a city of 55,000 inhabitants, 100,000 when you count the urban area. It is 4 km from the entrance to the city and 7 km from the city center. You can of course get there by road by car but also by bike or on foot by a path. In addition, a bus serves the village once in the morning and once in the evening. The city offers many amenities: bus and train stations, cinemas, concert halls, theater, shopping malls, supermarkets, 50m swimming pool and outdoor heated in winter, ice rink, sports complexes, market etc ... The Vendée is a popular tourist department, especially for its 250 km coastline including 140 of beaches. The closest are 40 minutes from the house. Frequent shuttles or trains and buses allow you to get there from La Roche. The Vendée also offers landscapes of marshes and bocage. There are many paths and cycle tracks for walking. The famous Puy Du Fou amusement park, which hosts a show retracing the history of the Vendée, is about fifty minutes from the house. Nantes, 600,000 inhabitants, is 75km away, La Rochelle 80km.

  Notre maison est située dans un village qui appartient à la ville de la Roche sur yon, ville de 55000 habitants, 100 000 lorsque l'on compte l'agglomération. Elle est distante de 4 km de l'entrée de la ville et 7 km du centre-ville. On peut bien sûr s'y rendre par la route en voiture mais également en vélo ou à pied par un chemin. De plus, un bus dessert le village une fois le matin et un fois le soir. La ville offre de nombreuses commodités: gares routière et ferrovière, cinémas, salles de spectacles, théâtre, galeries commerciales, supermarchés, piscine de 50m et d'extérieur chauffée en hiver, patinoire, complexes sportifs, marché etc...
  La Vendée est un département touristique prisé, notamment pour sa côte de 250 km dont 140 de plages. Les plus proches sont à 40 mn de la maison. Des navettes fréquentes ou train et bus permettent de s'y rendre au départ de La Roche.
  La Vendée offre aussi des paysages de marais et de bocage. Il y a de nombreux sentiers et pistes cyclables pour s'y promener.
  Le célèbre parc d'attraction du Puy Du Fou, qui accueille notamment un spectacle retraçant l'histoire de la Vendée, est à une cinquantaine de minutes de la maison.
  Nantes, 600 000 habitants, est à 75km, La Rochelle à 80km.
