  Hi, my name is Falk, I was born and raised in Germany, over 20 years in Canada.
  I moved to Nakusp, BC a year ago and am in the process of remodelling a former Police Station, which later served as a Cafe and residence, into an home and maybe a business which as a best case scenario is able to support people with diverse abilities to learn independent living skills and potentially increase their quality of life. One plan is to make it into a variety of accommodations that are suitable for people with special needs. At the moment there are many possibilities.
  I am a social worker and hobby woodworker and could use some help around developing the large backyard into something practical and usable, turn the Cafe into a residence and public area and also several projects within the house. There is really no end to tasks right now and also to creativity that might come in with each of you. Looking forward to meet people with ideas, intuition and drive.
  The place has its own charme having been the Middle Earth and later the Fairytale Cafe. I am wanting to preserve that and make it more practical at the same time. It is located right downtown Nakusp, 300 meters away from the beach at beautiful Arrow Lake and surrounded by mountains. There are several hot springs in the area and winter coming there is also plenty of opportunity for winter sport activities. I'll be happy to show you around.

  Nakusp offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and exploring, watersports, has a fairly lively music scene, also lots of jams, several arts programs and circles, the Selkirk College offers education opportunities and there are several eco project situated in the valley. We also have co.ercial and natural horsprings in the neighborhood. I used to work as a tour guide and I'll be happy to connect you to whatever you are interested in.

  Ajuda

  Anything somebody can bring to further the project is welcome. Most of the times it is just a second set of hands and creativity and ideas are also always welcome.
  Help will likely be physical, but not lifting heavy. Building, removing or relocating structures, installing furniture, some painting and some outdoor tasks, yard and garden upkeep. I probably missed some, but anyway you will never have to do something that you are not comfortable with.

  German is my mother language, I also speak English (some might have guessed that), I can also remember some of the Dutch, that I was fairly fluent in 20 years ago. A few Ukrainian words are also stuck in my brain from old school days. I am always interested to learn some useful phrases in every language.
