Julia was respectful, helpful and hardworking. We enjoyed her company and felt that she fit into our household well. Unfortunately, she chose to leave early for personal reasons, leaving us in a bit of a bind.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Robert and Jennifer’s homestead. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend early fall. Our favorite parts were the animals (we miss them already!), Jennifer's cooking, and learning how to horseback ride from Robert! He was a great teacher and was able to bring our skillset up to a point where

Our days started with morning feeding for the animals - horses, a donkey, cats, dogs, rabbits, turkeys, and chickens. After breakfast (our’s and the horses’), we started our work project for the day. We helped Jennifer in the garden (and were rewarded with tasty produce), learned how to bush hog pastures, split firewood, and more. The tasks varied, but each day had a general routine which worked real well for us. Our afternoons were typically free, up until about 6 when we did evening feedings. We enjoyed Toccoa being only 10 minutes away and spent many afternoons at the library or coffee shops while we worked on personal projects. Dinner time was always something to look forward to since Jennifer is an amazing cook! The dinnertime conversations were always enjoyable and there was rarely a moment of silence. My partner and I loved learning about Jennifer’s time in France and teaching French, Robert’s work as a farrier and endurance riding, and all the ins and outs of homesteading. We also loved when their granddaughter came over for an evening or two - we had a lot of fun playing volleyball with her and learning about her science classes.
Overall, we were quite happy with our accommodation. The camper is well kept and cozy, plus it was so fun having horses as our “neigh”-bors! The ac/heating, water, stove, fridge, and electronics were all in perfect working order. The camper doesn’t have internet or a restroom, but those are available up at Robert and Jennifer’s house.
We cannot recommend Robert and Jennifer enough. They are a great choice of host, you won’t regret spending time on this lovely homestead. We miss them and all their animals dearly and hope you get the chance to meet them all!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Joe and Teressa were a pleasure to have on our farm! During the month or so that they were here, they helped pull up and weed the summer garden to prepare it for the winter, got much of our winter firewood split and stacked, helped with bushhogging and weed eating the pasture and fences, filled in low spots in the horses' stalls, and took care of

Joe is attentive to detail and very easy to work with. Teressa is interested and inquisitive, especially about animals. One of their last nights here, they prepared dinner for us, which was a pleasure and delicious! We would recommend them as workawayers. Joe and Teressa, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

I just spent the three best months of my life with Robert and Jennifer. It’s hard to describe with words how amazing my experience at the farm with them was. They are such warm, loving and generous people and I immediately felt like a part of the family. It was wonderful spending Christmas and new years with them. If I could’ve stayed forever, I

Jennifer and Robert always had fun various projects to work on, I enjoyed everything. It was truly magical waking up every morning and saying hello to the horses (and donkey!). All of their animals are happy and loved and it is such a luxury to eat the fresh eggs in the morning. I have learned so much from Jennifer and Robert, they are truly incredible and knowledgable teachers. Even the very cold days we had during the holidays were wonderful. We had a good time warming up in front of the fire, watching a good movie or two!
Both Jennifer and Robert are amazing cooks. Jennifer made the most of the wonderful dinners and I had an amazing experience trying the delicious southern food culture. We had plenty of interesting and hilarious conversations during dinner.
I love horses and I’m so thankful for the amazing rides me and Robert went on. I spent many hours in the saddle just soaking up the gorgeous nature that Georgia has to offer. I felt very inspired learning about the endurance riding that Robert does and i’m looking forward trying it at home in Sweden.
It was such a pleasure meeting the rest of their family, neighbours and friends. I’m very thankful for getting to know everybody and I’m looking forward to seeing them again in the future. I only have happy memories with Jennifer and Robert, the only sad one is saying goodbye. I consider them as my second family and I’m so grateful to have met them and having them to be a part of my life. I look forward coming to visit my second home in Georgia many many times! I’ll be back!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Joline is wonderful! There are only good things to say about Joline's stay with us - well, there is one bad thing, she had to leave. Joline is always happy and upbeat. She has an amazing work ethic. We never had to wonder if something we asked her to do was done. It was always done on time, properly, with care and a smile.

Joline is easy-going and rolled with the flow of our holiday madness. In addition to having visiting family for a couple of weeks, we had the coldest Christmas on record - 8 degrees! This meant feeding in the cold, changing the small animal waterers three times a day and lots of family time in our relatively small house. She seemed to enjoy celebrating with us, and we were thrilled to have her join us.
Joline is also a wonderful baker and chef. We enjoyed talking about food and trying each other's dishes. Dinners and evenings were spent talking and enjoying the time together. We look forward to having Joline visit often and to being a part of her life.Fotos

Staying with Jennifer and Robert was great. The farm is peaceful and quiet. Anai and Marina were like part of the family, even though only here for 8 days. They were very capable of doing what we asked and then some. Both communicate very well and, though they have different strengths, they worked well together and with us. They were both 'finishers', which is great on the farm - they completed every project except for

We enjoyed lovely dinner conversations and would gladly have Marina and Anai back on the farm again!

We enjoyed having Ean stay with us! He was eager to learn and to help us at our farm. Ean is easy-going, polite and fun to have around. He is a great conversationalist, was wonderful with our granddaughter and was always willing to work. We look forward to reading his books in the future and to seeing Ean again when he's in the area!
