We so enjoyed hosting Sophie...she brought her enthusiastic energy to every task . Her intuitive attitude, good knowledge of English, empathy with animals and attention to detail proved her to be a trusted and valuable helper, whom anyone would be so lucky to have work with them.
I had such a wonderful time with Jenny and Greg on their organic farm with all their lovely animals! It was so much fun learning about organic farming, Jenny's garden knowledge is stunning🥰
I immediately felt like part of the family, Greg's jokes are the best! Jenny even took me to a horse show which was super nice and I got to spend time riding

Jeni and Greg were my first hosts. I could'nt have imagend a better first stay. Those two are incredible nice and kind and generous. the work was sometimes a little bit physical demanding but always rewarding. I did a lot of weeding, taking care of the compost and helped preparing a new bed for potatos. I feel honoured that I got to work with
… read more Friesa. she is an incredible honest and lovlely mare. if you stay with them, you will learn an incredible amount of things about organical gardening. the passion those two have for their animals and their home is absolutly awesome! I feld welcomed the secound I arrived. I also loved the talks at the meal times we had over so many topics. Both have really good stories to tell and I feel honoured I got to hear them. The food was amazing. Jeni is just an amazing creative cook. If you choose to apply, you won't regret it. thank you for hosting me and all thr things I got to learn from you!Comentário

I had the best experience helping on Jeni‘s and Greg‘s farm!
I stayed there for two weeks at the end of march and learned a good deal about gardening, organics and animals. Both have a lovely way of handling their pets which was amazing to see.
My daily tasks varied from feeding the animals, picking vegetables and fruits, weeding, digging up the
… read more compost and riding their lovely horse Freezya (which was not a „task“ at all but an amazing opportunity Jeni offered) and work was never too hard. The food was always amazing with lots of things from their garden. Both are very kind, open and great to talk to and it never gets boring.
On my last day the two took me to the West Coast and the Kauri Forest which I really enjoyed. If you want to get around on your own a car would be good, but I didn't mind staying on the farm at all and went to a local organic store and the closest town with Jeni once a week.
I would definitely stay with them again if i had the chance and am very grateful for the time I spend there. If you’re looking for a remote stay in nature surrounded by animals, you will love this place.

I had my best first workaway experience with Jeni and Greg!
If you like animals and being outside in nature, this place is paradise.
There is so much love and passion for their sweet animals and beautiful garden.
Greg and Jeni made me feel very welcome and at home.
The food is absolutely delicious, mostly home grown.

… read more something to do in the garden, they grow many types of fruit and vegetables.
I also got the chance to work with Freesya, their lovely horse that I spend a lot of time with.
Jeni really likes to teach you all about gardening and horsetraining.
Keep in mind that you are somewhat remote. But I was able to discover many beautiful places in the area because Greg was willing to drop me off, I went with Jeni to the market and local shops to sell fruit and vegetables and we went to a beautiful beach with the dogs.
