  Hello, I am Carmen, a single mom and part time employed at a school, part time hand analyst. My son is 25 and studying and living in Ghent. My home is located between Antwerp and Ghent, in the Flemish region of Belgium, in a town called Hamme. You will have your own space, shared kitchen and outdoor shower. I cook fresh meals every day, 7 days a week. In your spare time you can easily explore as I am located very central with public transport nearby.
  I dream of living independent close to nature, and my first step was building a natural home, as much off the grid as possible. Now I am building starting a foodforest and permaculture garden. I will also build an outdoor toilet and shower with cob.
  The normal schedule is that we work all day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These 3 days can vary in August. The rest of the week you have free time. Its nice if you can stay 2 weeks, maximum one month.

  I am looking for people who like the outdoors. There is lots of beautifull nature to hike, bike or just relax.
  My home in Hamme is located in the heart of the Flanders region. You can easily explore the cities of Antwerp and Ghent. There is lots of things to do and fun things to visit.
  Flanders is known for its good food, local beers, chocolate...and warm hearted people. So come and join.

  If you are interested in learning about natural building, gardening and natural farming, you are very welcome.
  I Have been building a straw bale house as much off the grid as possible. I am now in the process of installing an outdoor shower and kitchen in my backyard / forest. Also starting a food forest and permaculture garden.
  
  At this point I am installing the bathroom and starting to prepare my land for natural farming.
  Depending on witch period you would like to stay I can offer different opportunities to learn. If you have a dust allergy or have back problems, this might not be the right choice for you.
  You just have to be handy and willing to learn about natural farming, permaculture and natural building.
  It is very physical work of course and if you have good work shoes it is useful if you bring them.
  
  My focus is not only on building, the place outside becomes more important. I can use help with preparing my woodpile, in the garden, in the forest... So if you are familiar with gardening and landscaping you are also very welcome.

  Acomodação

  You will have your own space in a renovated container near my forest, a compost toilet, outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen. I provide bread for breakfast & lunch, and cook 1 fresh meal every day for dinner. If you want you are able to prepare your own food in the outdoor kitchen.
