    Descrição

Help at a peaceful beachfront boutique hotel in Las Peñitas, Nicaragua.

We are a small, family-run boutique hotel located directly on the beach in Las Peñitas, Nicaragua — just 25 minutes from the colonial city of León and close to volcano boarding, surfing, and incredible sunsets.

With only four guest rooms, our atmosphere is peaceful, personal, and relaxed. We have a small pool and an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and early dinner.

We’re looking for friendly, responsible volunteers to help support our local team with:

-Strong English skills (Spanish helpful but not required)
    - Friendly and proactive personality
    - Comfortable interacting with guests
    - Minimum stay of 2–3 weeks preferred
    - Responsible and punctual

If you enjoy helping create a welcoming atmosphere and want to experience life on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, we’d love to hear from you.

This small fishing village and surfing community on the northern pacific coast of Nicaragua is tropical paradise, rich with diversity that is still “off the grid” but attracts adventurous travelers and surfers from around the world. Spanish is the primary language spoken here, and most international travelers who visit our hotel speak English.

Local people, expats, and travelers come together here to enjoy the beach, waves, estuaries, fishing, turtle release, yoga, massage, pickleball, nearby volcano boarding and hiking, fresh seafood, local beer, frozen cocktails, and beautiful sunsets. As you walk down the beach (or the one paved road that stretches only a few miles in total), you will pass unassuming personal vacation homes, hostels, small hotels, locally-owned restaurants, and surf schools on the beach. There are no hotel or restaurant chains, and very few structures higher than two stories. You will see cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, horse carts, and cattle on the roads - not usually in a hurry. One of the things we love most about living here is that it feels like you are going back in time.

Leon is the closest city. An easy 20-minute “chicken bus” ride from the beach, it offers museums, cultural sites, historic Spanish colonial architecture, lots of restaurants and bars, markets, shopping, and entertainment. There are many opportunities to get involved in projects at local schools, churches, and medical facilities.

As a helper your role may include:

    - Greeting guests warmly
    - Helping staff to serve guests and maintain facility cleanliness
-Assisting with English/Spanish communication when needed
    -Special projects per volunteer interests

You will always help alongside paid staff and will never be responsible for running shifts alone.

This is a guest-facing role, so confidence, friendliness, and good communication skills are important.

    Hours & Schedule
    Approximately 4–5 hours per day
    4-5 days per week
    Weekly schedule posted in advance

Because we are a small property, the pace is generally relaxed — but weekends can be a bit busier.

  • Algo mais...

    Algo mais...

We are a small, family owned operation, with a handful of local staff and owners who live on the property for part of the year. That said, the hotel is one of nicest and the most expensive places to stay on the beach, with only four rooms and a maximum capacity of 13 people per night. We intentionally keep our number of day pass visitors low to ensure an upscale, peaceful, relaxing vacation experience. We do not allow pets, loud music, or parties. Non-paying /non-volunteering guests are not allowed on the premise.

There is so much to see and do in Las Penitas, Leon, and surrounding areas. Adventurous Workawayers will not be bored during their time off!. We have bicycles available for volunteer use. The bus to Leon leaves every hour and can be caught right outside our door for only C$18 (about $.50) per person. Taxi's are also easy to find.

The cost of living in Nicaragua is lower than in most other countries, so living and traveling here is very affordable
