Descrição
We are inside an ancient rainforest. Not totally remote but it feels that way. We aim to live in and improve our place inside the rainforest with minimum impact on the amazing environment around us. And enjoy it. Our neighbour is World Heritage listed Daintree National Park.

Trees, landscape and wildlife. Cassowaries and ancient cycads. So diverse we find things new to us. There is always something unknown. Exploring and embracing the rainforest. Fun with languages, music and food. We love local produce. Engage with the local community and other Workawayers or just time for yourself. Four bicycles to share. We can show you places we love. Hike up our creeks into the Alexandra Range, walk along beaches with crocodiles, find swimming holes without crocodiles or tourists, great ice cream on the way. If you're into plants, animals or rocks, this is the place to be.

Ajuda
Enthusiasm and love for the rainforest guides our projects. We try for minimal impact while we work on improving our simple accommodation and at the same time preserve the area around us. In a rainforest, the list is endless: Small building projects, some bigger projects, building pathways to the creeks, propagating and planting trees, and also the fun jobs cooking, cleaning and maintenance. We make up projects as we go. Bring whatever skills and passions you have. We have the shovels, wheelbarrows, paint brushes and enough tools to express your creativity.

Acomodação
Shared cabin with kitchen, bathroom/laundry and a huge veranda facing into the rainforest. Everything off grid but we have internet. No dietary restrictions except we don't like too much salt. Fun to share meals but you can also do your own thing. Our veranda has been a venue for art, music, yoga, gymnastics, fire twirling, naked hippies, construction projects and tents. Normally it's a favourite place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can also accommodate camping and camper vans. Property is non smoking and naturist friendly.

This is the most wonderful place in an amazing part of an ancient rainforest just a few hours north of Cairns in tropical North Queensland. Cairns to Cooktown coastal bus service three days a week via Cow Bay. Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas (if you need a tourist fix) are half way in between. Cape Tribulation is not far north. Boat from Cape Trib to go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef (but you have to pay for that). Do the boardwalks or just walk along the Cow Bay beaches. Sunrise (it's an early start) and full moon rise over the ocean. Plenty to explore and find. One week is just an introduction. We love to share what we know and explore new places with our visitors. We have no lifestyle demands or expectations beyond being happy, friendly and respectful of each other.

Definitely possible. nbn satellite internet normally works well but we are in a rainforest.

His property is nestled away in the rainforest and was a very pleasant and peaceful place to be.
