It has been a few months since I've stayed here but wow Rosemary and Peter made my time in Switzerland exceptional! If you have a chance to stay with them in the summer then I highly recommend it! I'm a solo female traveler and it was a bit different for me to be here alone (it is one volunteer at a time) but I did have my own room here. Lots of

Rosemary and Peter are incredibly sweet people and I am absolutely blessed that I could spend a month in Switzerland with them! I spent most of my time with Rosemary and she is extremely kind / fun to be around. She picked me up from the bus stop and helped me obtain a swiss pass once I got there. She also helped me with planning a lot of trips for my days off since I am notorious for not planning anything in advance haha. I swam a lot here at her house and the nearby lakes. It was such a relaxing stay and nice to be able to reset while exploring the country.
I also have to mention that I arrived unexpectedly sick from my Paris trip previously but they still helped me and let me stay which was sweet!
The work was very simple. The schedule was given each week the communication was very open/clear on what needed to be done. I worked a few half days and had 3 days off in the week. I also could switch times or days of work a few times (within reason!) due to lots of rainy days vs the few sunny days we had. It was a routine of house chores and gardening with some days where we'd share a meal together.
I hope to visit/volunteer the next time I'm in Switzerland! It's been a pleasure and I hope it won't be too long until I'm back again!

I stayed with Rosmarie and Peter for three weeks in August/September 2023, and helped with housekeeping (vacuuming and cleaning the bathrooms) as well as weeding and harvesting in the garden. Most importantly, however, Rosmarie and Peter's warmth and kindness made me feel at home, even though this was my first experience with Workaway. They were exceptionally patient with me when I struggled with Swiss German, and helped me make the most of my short stay in Switzerland – from buying the train pass to deciding which locations and attractions to visit. I also enjoyed getting to know their children (and grandchildren!), who also gave fantastic recommendations of what to see and do around Switzerland.
Highlights of my stay included a concert & coffee in Luzern with Rosmarie, as well as a tour of the Parliament Building & lunch in Bern with Peter. I especially loved connecting with Rosmarie over our shared love of music.

I spent about a month with Rosemarie and her beautiful family, helping them with gardening and around the house. The place was absolutely beautiful. My experience with them was wonderful. They were all so welcoming and kind, we always had a good conversations. And they supported me with advices for a local trips .

It is my first workaway experience and I’m so lucky to stay with Rosmarie family. I was extended my stay for 5 weeks instead of 3 weeks. During my stay, she is so generous to let me have long weekends so I can explore more places in Switzerland.

I had an incredible stay with Rosmarie last October. I truly felt like part of the family, joining and helping with meals, having good conversations, meeting their children. I have only good words for Rosmarie and her family. I had a great experience last August. It was my first time doing a work away and I felt really lucky during my stay there. It was honored to be at Rosmarie and Peter's house. They welcomed me as part of the family and always gave me all the facilities and advice to travel and visit around, they also took me to see incredible places. The house has awesome views and is located very close to Zug, Zurich and Lucern. I used to bike around. Sorry for the late comment
