As the other reviews say, it is hard to describe how amazing my experience in Como was with this lovely family! I stayed with the family for two months and had the time of my life. … read more fun, we became good friends, always chatting and laughing together. There is also always delicious food and you will have your own big bedroom space and bathroom.
The kids are so sweet and fun, it was a pleasure helping them with homework and studying english, they are super polite and just great kids. I loved playing basketball with Matteo, hanging out with Isabel watching movies, and hearing about what Enrico has been up to on his motorbike! Miss them so much already! The family also has the cutest dog Teddy who became my little sidekick and would come with me on adventures around town, the sweetest little guy. In terms of travel and exploring, it’s so easy to get to Milan from the house, just a short walk and train ride away. I managed to visit Venice, Verona, Bergamo and Florence on my days off, all really easy to get to from Milan! And there is just so much to see and do in Como and the surrounding towns, it was honestly a dream waking up there every day!
Thank you so much Egle and Maurizio for having me and making my time in Italy so special, I know we will be friends for life and can’t wait to have you to stay in London or maybe even New Zealand one day! :)

… read more and friend, she cooks delicious meals that we eat all together, and she takes care to make sure those around her are comfortable. All of the kids are very smart and fun to spend time with - Enrico and Matteo love to play music, sports, draw, and bike, and Isabel loves to explore the center and lake, always bringing her smile, passion, and sense of curiosity whatever she's doing - playing with animals, learning, swimming, chatting, smoothie-making, picking berries in Villa Olmo... I could go on! And Teddy the dog is so loving! I have had a lot of opportunities to go out and meet many people in Como and travel around, and have been able to go other places in Europe as well. I have my own room and bathroom, and have swam in the pool/borrowed their bike as well! This is a true Italian family who I feel so grateful to have met. … read more in a beautiful zone. They have given me a lot of freedom to visit other places and travel, and Como is a beautiful place. The mother, Egle, prepares delicious and healthy food, and they always have Italian delicacies in their kitchen. I mostly help the kids with their homework, especially the daughter, Isabel, and she has been like a little sister since day one. I feel so lucky to be able to share with such a good family! … read more time. The family is relaxed and welcoming. The kids are different ages and you have to be ready to play as they are ages that make getting rid of energy is important. I had my own room with bathroom and Egle even borrowed me her bicycle. What a wonderful family. I will never forget this wonderful time.

We never thought that our experience will be so wonderful. But big thanks to our Eleanor our whole family had a very good time together.
